No idea spot
8max 300NL
UTG is young girl who just sat at the table. Self confessed being a total noob but had a dad who was a pro. Hadn't played a hand in an orbit.
Big blind is 55 year old who other players knew. I'd seen him overplay his top pair, but only on the river where he bet big in a spot he should have just bet small or checked.

I see 99,77,66, 97s, 87s, 76s, 75s and then some 8x bluffs but I didn't have enough time to work through it at the table because there's a 20 second shot clock. I don't play at the casino much so not sure what live players do and if a snap jam is more often bluffs or value. In the moment I decided bluffs more often bet $100 or $80 on the river and that value jams, but I'm honestly not sure.
Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Is UTG a straddle, a blind bet, or did he actually raise 2x? In any case, preflop should be significantly bigger. This is a bad flop for your range. Probably don't cbet it. I don't see the point in going less than half pot if you are going to cbet.
On the river, he could have counterfeited 2 pair, as well as missed straight draws. Snap jam is strange on a nuts changing hard, and sometimes indicates a bluff. However, I don't know if I call as played.
True, bad for mine and UTG ranges and much better for BB range. However my main reason for cbet is to isolate against BB, and if UTG calls reevaluate life.
Preflop, the 3! is small since UTG hadn't played a hand and if she's holding AA/KK she will 4bet 100% and I can fold for cheap. The rest of the table was playing very tight so I define ranges with the exception of the BB who will likely call wide no matter what.
UTG, she, raised π I don't mind the flop call or turn call. If you have some spidey sense that he is FOS and shoving w/ a 9 or missed straight draw, go ahead and call, but I fold the river. If he has a pair of 9s or is bluffing, more power to him.
Yup UTG raised. I did have that spidey sense that he is full of it actually. There was a 'fear' look that flashed on his face right before he insta-shoved. But these old school dudes love to fake it. The small raise on the flop looked like a draw/98/87 etc. I expect two pairs and sets to go bigger on such a draw heavy texture, but they also love to "keep their customers"...
This is a flop you want to check a lot, but I think Tx and 9x hands want to bet. And I have no problem with the size - we don't have the nut advantage so we want to bet small.
His x/r and turn bets are small so I think it's an easy call/call. River probably mixes in theory, I think it's safe to default to fold because most Vs aren't triple barrel bluffing all that frequently. I think you played the hand well at every point. If he bluffed, good for him.
I prefer checking flop. You want some Tx in your betting and checking range, but TT and T9 play well as checks. You have showdown value and can call any reasonable turn bet on basically any turn card. Having an overpair plus gutshot seems strong, but on a board this connected it's not as strong as it seems. I take a pot control line.
Given small sizing from opponent, you can't really get away on the flop or turn.
River is an interesting spot. The seven reduces some possible value combos like 77, although it's also possible he was semi-bluffing with something like 87s that just caught up.
I read the snap jam timing as polarizing. He likely either has a full house or nothing. I think a straight might jam, but would at least take some time to consider the board pairing card. The same is likely true if he showed up here with 7x.
I likely fold this combo (TT) given what I stated above. I expect his main bluffs would be 8x and Tx hands, and if we discount straights due to the timing tell then we're blocking bluffs and unblocking value (full houses). I would rather call with 9x and 7x that block additional value combos, or at least a larger overpair like KK that has more neutral blockers.
Raise more pre, at least 20, even 25.
Iβm ok with the small flop bet but fold to the raise. Calling the small raise is probably ok too, but you have a small hand, with many bad cards to come on the turn and river, and youβre oop, and you have little info on the BB except that he once overvalued top pair.
AP. Iβm reluctantly calling turn, hating that Iβm now in a big pot with a small hand.
Fold the river unless you have a read.
TT is a strong, but vulnerable hand. I almost always want to go big early to better understand where Iβm at and to avoid making mistakes when the big money goes in.
Guessing itβs a straddle as it pretty rare when I see someone double the blind. Probably going to kick it to at least 25, maybe 30.
Now with a call, I think villain eliminates most hands that hit this flop, and I donβt mind if he folds.
I understand the solver (bet small flop) but for me in this situation, Iβm going to pot the flop. Again, I want to find out now.
Iβm watching villain closely as live poker allows me to judge their comfort level.
If I get raised running this line, Iβm probably letting it go. I just donβt expect a lot of aggression with A9, though 88 is certainly a possibility.
The idea is maximum pressure early, and see if villain hangs around.
As played, the question is would villain launch a bluff with 88 or another missed draw? Because if villain has value, itβs likely your one pair is beat.
