BTN (REG) vs BB
BTN (REG) vs BB

BTN (REG) vs BB

BTN opens Β£4 covers
Hero calls BB Kh9h (Β£220)

BTN is a strong player and I have been ran over by him quite a bit lately.

Flop Qc10h8s (Β£9)
BTN Β£3
Hero calls

Turn Kd (Β£15)
BTN Β£15
Hero calls

River 5d (Β£45)
BTN Β£52

I think our main decision point here comes OTR, Facing 3 barrels and an OB on the river I think we need to lean towards a fold. But I Know V is very good and will know this board is good for him too.

Is this 1/1 or .50/1 with an open to 4?

1/1

1/1

Flip a coin.

It’s BU vs BB so V might be opening as wide as any 2 pf.

You’re clearly capped at 1p, does villain know this? I’ll assume he does because you say he’s very good, so then his sizing lends me to thinking it’s a bluff, not someone trying to get a crying call from QJ/JT

Any other reads villain? Have we seen him triple barrel bluff, does he overbet bluff, when you say he’s been running you over, has it been without showdown? Or has it been similar lines with him showing down the goods each time.

If villain is capable of overbet bluffing, and given the preflop configuration as well as what villain should perceive your hand strength to be, I’m flicking in.

I'm folding river. There's no flush draws and almost all of the hands containing Jx are a pair or a straight. I think 3betting pre is pretty good tho.

Disagree: main decision point is the turn
If it was anything other than a button open, I probably fold pre.
Plenty of draws, right price to call flop

When villain pots the turn, my first thought is a better king, which is one of many ways you are beat. That’s the time to fold

If he’s a good player at low stakes, he’s trying to get value. Once you call the turn, he stretches for a little extra value on the river with an overbet. Don’t trap yourself

I think vs a lot of low stakes players I can fold turn. vs this V he is going to be betting the K a lot here so I dont think folding turn here is good option

I think the decision point is on the flop, this hand is a prime candidate to x/r with a gutter, over and BDFD. H has more Qx/Jx, including J9. The reaction to a xr goes a long way to clarify Vs hand.

AP, if V does triple barrel bluff and is aggressive, it's a call. We've given V no reason to slow down, so we can't differentiate between a bluff or value bet. Against the average low limit player, it's probably a fold because they don't bluff enough.

I think a xr OTF is superior to just calling down.

One thing I do like about this is everyone's opinions. I thought river was main point, you think flop, someone else thought turn πŸ˜€ Yeah I guess that is a good option to C/r flop.

Yeah completely agree vs most low stake players this would be easy fold
