Live 2/5 - TPTK at loose table

I'm dealt AdKh UTG + 1.

UTG folds.

I raise to $20.

5 callers including big blind. Pot is $120.

Flop is Kd 9c 5c.

Big blind checks. I bet $120.

Villain calls. Everyone else folds. Villain is not as loose as the rest of the table but has been calling more and more due to impatience (I think). He plays OK. He has about $500 and I have him covered.

Turn: 2s (Pot is $240)

I check. Villain bets $80. I call

River: 3s

I check. Villain bets $175. I call.

1. Should I have raised more pre-flop?
2. Should I have bet less on the flop?
3. What about the turn and river play?

Why bet pot on the flop into 4 others? Thus bloats the pot so that if you run into set/2 pair you are pot committed to call it off on the turn.

Bet 2/3 pot, bet turn and fold to a raise. His small turn bet is likely draw or weak showdown value.

Pre is fine. Flop bet is too big, you polarize yourself. Turn/river, just fold. Villain has it way too often.

OP hasn't posted here for 17 years but I guess he'll appreciate the new info when he comes back.

Would you have called a pot-sized bet on the turn? When someone runs this line against me bet, bet and check the turn, I have been known to pot the turn and take it down often with any two. The floater in position waiting for this to happen.

I like your play pre & flop, but fire again on the turn. As played, I don’t know if villain is on the steal because you showed weakness, but I think he would bet bigger. It looks like a very strong hand trying to get value without forcing a fold. Villain wants a call, you should fold.

you must raise him all in on the turn. you should have bet the turn but since you didnt, he easily can now have so many outs on you and you have no idea of what the next card can do and no way to know whether to call or fold on the end.
anyone that doesn't see this needs to do some thinking especially since this is a smaller game where players make all kind of funny bets.
