Hand seems fine till river. Then V donks for pot when BD straight and FDs came in. Barring any reads that he's tricky, I see no reason to hero call here.
Plenty of rivered hands here. KQ is the obvious one. JT also a possibility although it depends whether this player calls your big preflop raise with JTo.
Flushes aren't a huge concern (there are only a tiny handful and some like JTcc and 76cc might check-raise turn). On the other hand, opponent isn't betting worse for value like this, there are few natural bluffs and a weak limp-caller type won't turn made hands into bluffs. Seems a clear fold
I don't understand why you didn't c-bet. It's not like this flop smashes the CO's raise-call range.
PRE - looks fine.
FLOP - y u no c-bet?
We've got two overs, a BDFD, and a range advantage. Just c-bet 1/3 to 1/2 pot on this top-pair dynamic board. I'd make it $25 again.
TURN - After checking back the flop, when V checks to us again, betting $35 seems fine. If we know V is sticky, chases draws, or our table image sucks, I might bet bigger, possibly even 1.5x pot.
RIVER - He bets pot when the club draw comes in, and you have the Ac?
I mean...we block the nuts, so in theory, we could raise as a bluff. My guess is he has KQ, JT for a straight, or a flush, and he's never folding if we raise, unless we jam, and maybe he still calls off.
So, jam or fold. Can't call. Which way I'd lean would depend a lot on the live reads. Got any?
Single limp to you and you're opening $25? Is that something game specific.
You don't post any of your thoughts. What you think he might have. Any reads/tells. I mean its's your money. Without any real information what magic do you expect here? He's saying he's got a really strong hand. Make the read and go with it.
