2/5 Small Ball Poker is it Reliable or Just A Recipe For Disaster

My last 54 hours of poker I been playing small ball poker. I have been doing ok up about $800 for the week which is meh at best. I been staying afloat a lot of sessions with pot builder raises in LP. I was against this strategy. But as long as you don't overvalue hands. Like one pair, 2pair and sets.

Here's a hand I played last night.

6 limps, hero is on the button dealt A J raises to $15 everyone calls.

Flop K 9 8

Someone donks for $20 3 callers I cold call on the button. I don't like a raise because I need a big hand to win the pot.

Turn 2 I bet $75, one villain calls. Super calling station. River a brick I shove he calls with 7 6

So my question is, is raising small in casino cash games -EV?

I know I'm losing value on TPTK or TPGK or big pairs. But do I gain from the big pots I do end up making?

Necro-ing a 14-year old thread is certainly one way to drive discussion...

I appreciated the trip down Memory Lane though.
