A bit late for year in review but 2024 will always be the year of the theft.

  • Thieves
Easter - Car Stolen from parking spot
Halloween - Wallet and cell phone from globogym
Veterans Day - Some dork took my carry on off the plane in Chicago, it had all of my clothes for the trip.

I got my carry on back on the last day, but still.

Ugh, really sorry to hear, DMW. Was the last one a mistake? If so, did the clothes he left in his carry on fit?

That sounds exactly like it could’ve easily happened on Seinfeld.

Hey Ace, its been a slow start out here. Today was day 29 on the hill for us. During the holidays it was a clownshow out here so we did not ski at all. Its super low tide. We are below 65% normal snow pack, combined with the winds that have been NUKING this past week everything is windscoured, skinny, and kind o nasty. That being said we have had some good days and are looking foreword to some much needed snow this weekend.

Hows the action in colorado? You and JR getting at it??

How about

It’s been ok out here. Seems like the super good powder days have been a little light, and lots more ice than usual, but I love this stuff so whatever.

January was supposed to be a big month for us, but I got flu and was out for two weeks. We went last week during the artic blast. -12° on the feels like meter.

This weekend we are at the Castle of KS. Skipped skewl on Friday to ride Vail, did Breck today, and tomorrow is Beaver Creek. Jr has been on his absolute A Game and we have been crushing laps. He’s pretty small for his age, and he rides a smaller board (120cm), but it does not stop him from passing most of the adults on the mountain. He’s clocking in the high 30’s (and not just for spurts), which is impressive for that small of a rider. Dude is starting to do ride more of the gnar too. Vail bowls yesterday, few tree areas, and bowl at Breck today that had some great pow.

We are 12 days tomorrow. Still hope to make it past 20.

Glad you asked as it is my favorite part of the story. Yes it was a mistake. I was told to stay by the gate and foolishly obeyed. The stewardess or whatever we call them brought his carry-on off the plane. It did not look like my bag and was about 30 lbs lighter. She opened the carry-on and we saw a bag of tostitos and a purple bath towel. From that she concluded, Aha, this bag belongs to a Mexican man.
