AA on a monotone board

AA on a monotone board

Not sure I made the right play and wanted feedback.

1/2 $10 Straddle

H: CO (550) Ad,Ac
V: UTG+1 (850)

Folded to Hero after 2 limpers who makes it $60. Villian calls and other limper folds.

Pot $130

Flop: 9d,8d,2d

V: Checks
H: Bets $100
V: Calls

Turn: 9d,8d,2d,7c

V: Leads out and bets $150
H: Raises all in $390
V: Calls

River: 9d,8d,2d,7c,3d

Villian mucks but claims to have had a straight. I say J10 huh? He quickly dismisses that hand which makes me immediately think he didn't have a straight. This guy really wants me to believe he had 5,6 or 10,6?? Sure I guess it's possible but the action leading up to the turn bet and call doesn't make sense to me.

Thoughts on the hand? Assuming he had a straight on the turn, was my shove the wrong decision? Is this a call?

Thanks everyone.

Raise pre is kinda big, with a straddle of 10 and a caller 40 would be fine IP.

I would bet less otf, hoping to get calls from Kd FD's and other PP's or over pairs (he called 60 pre so I would lean his range more towards med/big PP's then SC/FD type hands).

His hand looks more like TxTd, but I would just call the turn donk bet. If he flopped a flush he's not folding, and people usually play these types of boards more straight up than bluff.

Yeah, that was my fault. I edited the post. There were 2 limpers, one of which was the villian. Regardless, I get what you're saying. A call on the turn is probably the correct decision.

Pre looks okay. Agree the raise size is big in theory but it's LOL-stakes and we're 55bb deep eff, so it's probably fine.

Flop c-bet is way too big, unless we've decided we're just going with our hand no matter what. Think we could go 1/2 pot or even 1/3 pot and keep his range wider.

As played on flop, turn is a bit off the rails. Like, it looks like you either flopped the nuts or wanted to fold out the flush draws. Why is he donking for around 1/2 pot? What's he repping here?

Not sure about that jam. Seems like we're turning our good bluff catcher into a bluff. Why not just flat call and see what happens on the river? He might barrel off on another diamond, or slow down and check on a brick. We can't out-play him on the river if we jam turn.

Don't even worry about what he had. Not worth thinking about unless you see him all the time.

Not sure about that

Ok... this was my first post and it shows hahaha I completely messed this hand up. He called the turn shove and then mucked. Makes no difference really but even though I got the desired outcome it's been bugging me because like you two pointed out, I think I played it wrong. Thanks for the input.
