Back playing Live
Hi,
I am planning to play Friday nights and Saturdays in my local Casino. The only stake available is 2-5 and buy-in is minimum 300 and maximum 1000. Rake 10% 5bb cap. I usually start these games with 500 (100bb deep) due to bankroll constraints and try to move tables and reduce stack. Occasionally these games could be straddled too. I am looking to find some preflop charts or guidelines that is suitable for this rake structure. Could anyone guide where is a good place to find it
p.s. I have read The Course and aware of the preflop strat discussed in that book
Any help would be much appreciated

Tighten-up considerably pre-flop, meaning you should be raising or folding most hands, even from the blinds.
I'm also wondering if you should even be playing in this game, since the question about hand charts and your acknowledgement of being somewhat scared money would seem to put you in the cross hairs to more aggressive players.
5 bb cap? So if the pots $250 they take out $25 in rake?
That combined with being forced to buy in short (I'm assuming most people buy in for 1K which they do in my games) would be a reason to look elsewhere.
I also understand if someone's BR is shallow and they're up several hundred BB's it's probably better to cash out instead of playing with a large percentage of your BR on the table but to do it every time you're up just to start at 500 again doesn't really make sense if you're already winning and doing well in the game you're already in.
I have the same plan to raise or fold most hands.
The games are really profitable. I just wanted to test the depth of the water, last week started playing with 16 buy ins and now already with 24 buy ins, and find it incredibly profitable
I understand it is very low sample, but I am trending in the right direction
yes the rake is very high
On avg, out of 8 players, 2 would be playing 300, 4 would be playing 300 and 2 would be playing 1k
I agree I need to reconsider the plan of starting again at 500 every time after doubling up
