Flop KT3r. I bet and both call.
Turn 3 putting up a FD. I bet, CO calls, BTN folds.
River Jr. I bet and CO instantly raises. I sigh and fold.

Would this even work the first time you tried it? I mean this fold wasn’t made in a vacuum, you might be the player type where this is an auto call.
Personally I don’t mind the fold if I’ve never seen her bluff raise the river. It’s a pretty rare form of bluffing, even at 20/40, and probably she would have to be turning a pair into a bluff which most aren’t capable of.

personally it was not so much about the river bluff that bother me but is there was enough calling hands in villain range that we beat to make it profitable to value bet the river.

And that's what makes it such a strong play. Also, I'm not saying raise EVERY river bet, but in right situation. I'm not going to be spewy blindly raising here and there...I'm going to pick my spots carefully.

I’d say if she is legitimately a tag at bike then she will have both kq (all combos), aj, and qjs to target. Bike tags are a little bit looser in my experience. But yeah I’m also concerned about running out of value here given preflop for sure. Once she raises though I’m not expecting her to think that this is a great bluffing spot, as we are effectively uncapped given she won’t 3bet 33s.
