4/8 line check QQ
V is a decent reg, opens a decent range. Plays too wide, seems to chase a bit too much. Can be aggro in orphan multiway pots and HU.
Table is currently too tight with a lot of folding and chopping.
I am in EP open with QQ. Folds to V in BB who calls.
Flop comes K83r. V says' I will check one time' and checks.
I check behind.
Turn is a 4. V fires, I call.
River is a J. V fires, I call.

I play it exactly the same way.

I thought he was kidding, but look at the situation after you check the flop: Ignoring rake for the moment, there are 2.5 big bets in the pot, and assuming you plan to call both turn and river bets, you're essentially risking 2 big bets to win 4.5. If my math is right that means you only have to be good there about 30% of the time to profit in the long run.
Your flop checkback will induce a turn bluff quite often. Your call on the turn will be interpreted as a "bluff call" and induce a river bet quite often. He will think his 98, 87, 54 or even 99 or TT are good a decent amount of the time. It's not out of the question for him to have had a hand like QJ, JT or J9 either - he could have been bluffing the turn but thought he improved to the best hand on the river.
You'll be good there 30%+ of the time easily. If he had king-rag shrug it off and move on.
Is this mini speech by villain supposed to imply that he has a king?
Because otherwise I don't know why we wouldn't be betting the flop.
