BB hand 4 8 double gutter to a CR multiway
I struggle with these spots because they do not come up that often.
Typical 8-handed 4 8 game V is a sticky passive who sometimes mixes in aggression but bad in general.
V limps in EP, 2 callers to SB who completes, I am in BB and look at 34o and check.
Flop comes A75 full rainbow, giving me a nice double gutter on a pretty safe board.
SB checks, I bet, V calls, 2 callers to SB who now check raises, figure him for an A or some 2p. 6BB in pot.
I can't fold, so I 3!(?) Most 4/8 droolers won't fold for 1 or 2 extra bets here, so in RT I thought this was best and could still bring along most of the players behind.
If I smooth call maybe everybody comes along.

Why would you three bet with four high?
When you have draw you want more people in the pot
You could get 89 to fold behind you which would be a fantastic outcome. Although that might be doubtful.
Nevermind. If you think they all call and sb will check turn itβs fine
i think its fine. i actually think you want some people to fold behind you because even if you turn the straight so many cards beat or make you chop on the river.

if you had 68 id prefer just calling.
I would check the flop. Even though you have a double gutter your only clean out is a deuce.
Flop bet is fine. I don't think 3betting is terrible (and getting 89 to fold would be a huge coup), but I think calling is somewhat better--both because it is more likely to keep people in the pot and because having the initiative with your specific hand will make the turn more difficult to play.
Result-sticky V took 2, I think one other player and CR'r called. 12BB
turn was a beautiful deuce, CR guy checked to me, I bet, V raises, folds to me 3! and cap, we had the same hand(his was sooted lol). faq.
limping in 34 sooted from EP. poker not dead confirmed.
