Wait really??? That’s disgusting. They destroyed an iconic game. 20/40 at the bellagio was such a hallmark of my Vegas vacations :(

For those that might not know, the 2025 WSOP schedule is out. LHE events are a bit later this year, but the same general order as before, the the 6-max following a couple weeks after the $1,500 and the $10,000.

When I played at Bellagio years ago, they always had 15/30 and 30/60. I can't remember exactly when it changed, but maybe 11-12 years ago?

Just saw the video on a pure 3! or fold vs mixed strategy out of the SB, and was interesting to see the flat call strategy is so heavily capped.

Also saw some o8 videos might be on the way, which is interesting; DD could be interesting to see some solver perspective on open-limping in o8, and when/if its correct.

Thanks for the feedback and questions! I can answer that one right here as it wouldn't make a good video - the solver won't open limp in fixed limit. The basic reason is that 4 random cards in the BB have a lot of equity, and for the low price of one small bet more you can make him fold that equity. Every argument for open limping is at its core an exploit argument - "if I limp, these fish behind me will play bad hands they would have folded had I raised". In fact, if you force the first guy to have a limp range, you see some useful things from how the solver plays the other positions: 1) it always plays tighter vs a limp than if it was folded to you and you can raise and steal the blinds, 2) it won't even over limp! It prefers folding more if the limp range is tight, and isolating more if the limp range is loose.

That is what I had always thought, and played but was starting to doubt myself after playing live so long, lol!

I am also a little fascinated with limp the btn range in both Omaha and o8 MTT, where sb range can also get trickier . But i guess that is also more or short stacks / ICM considerations.

Not sure if CAZ even has 20 LHE any more, but if so I'll probably try to play a little. If not, I may splash around in 8-16 or perhaps try the mix game (much less likely), but more likely will just limit my time in the room.

At Bellagio we'll see how these new/old/new 15 and 30 games are going.

20 went briefly on Saturday and then broke but we started a 40 a bit later.

Last night the only LHE game in the room was 4/8 :( No 3/6, 8/16, 20/40, 40/80.

If I go I'll definitely go on the list, it's just that I'm less likely to go if there isn't already a game I actually want to play running. I'm only there for a few days, not super interested in sitting around waiting for hours on end for a game that may or may not happen and may or may not break right away.

Who am I kidding, I'll go if there's a chance of playing heh. Or else chase the BBJ!

There is an $1,100 LHE tournament scheduled for 1pm at Wynn Las Vegas on Saturday, June 7th with a 50k guarantee. This is 2 days before the wsop $1500 event.

Best place to think of to post this, I have a business trip to LA next month and will be staying 1.5 miles from the Commerce, expect to play some 8/16 LHE there. Any advice for that room-players, aggression, dealers, food, general player quality, etc. ?

The Bike and Commerce are ten minutes from one another and they both have multiple 8/16 games going. The Bike has better promotions, food, and a nicer ambience and more limit action. I suggest downloading the Poker Bravo app to follow what’s happening.

8/16 at commerce was my bread and butter when I first started playing. the only thing is that if you play there for long enough the degeneracy starts to seep into your pores.

I would check out both games since you’ll be pretty close to both casinos.

I've always thought the Bicycle was much nicer than Commerce.

Bike is much better if you are playing 20/40 or higher, but Commerce probably spreads more 8/16. I do think Bike offers a nicer ambience, better food, and a better all-around experience, but if you’re just trying to play 8/16 Commerce may be the superior choice.

Thanks Gents. I didn't realize the Bike was so close as well. have the Bravo app already. I have a dinner Weds night and meetings Th/Fri. plan to fly in early Weds play mid-morning/afternoon and maybe Weds or Thursday night depending on my energy level. Getting old sucks.

Ambience doesn't matter for a couple sessions. Been warned about the degen vibe already.
