Unless this guy is super straightforward, I call river and expect to lose. The rest looks good.
Nah I ****ed this up a long time before river
What else can you really do? C/c flop and c/r turn? Donk check turn? I’m really struggling to figure out what else you could have done.
Yeah flop is so dry I think it is a check/call.
And as played I’m wondering if l should three bet turn.
If you think three betting the turn is a better play why did you fold the river? If you were good on the turn the only hands that beat you on the river are AT, A5, or A8.
I think with hands like this in general check calling might be the best play unless you flop very big.
98 78 97 67
i check call river unless there is history then i sometimes fold as played, but always folding, dude come on.
I like to checkraise turn better btw we have the nuts. if we call flop
So vilain having AK/AQ is impossible ?
I suppose we don’t cap at all pf with our range too ?
Almost 10-1 on river with such a strong hand under repped I call .
FWIW what hand we have on the flop that we check raise flop and don’t 3 bet turn but we call river if we fold AK ?
I suppose we 3 bet A9o on turn ?
Yeah I guess we can fold out AJ and AQ then call with AK but it’s so close and I just feel like most people would happily check back AK here which is not a good sign since I can’t think of any bluffs that play this way.
kinda like donk check turn more than kc flop. donk checking 66 seems pretty good.
The more I think about it the more I am convinced that folding the river is correct. Obviously it's a biggish pot, but even his random spaz hands now beat AK.
I don’t think the river is close. All his turn semi bluffs are a pair plus an 8. It’s not like he has j8 here
I think the river is close in theory, but in practice, villains will not have enough worse hands to make calling profitable. NH.
