15-30 LHE - Straddle game 5-10-15-30, blinds
A pretty aggressive straddle game, 7 handed. UTG, I open raise with A5 suited. Cutoff caps to make it $60. Straddle and I call. Pot $210.
Flop is 5,5,K. Check, check to capper who bets. Straddle folds, I flat.
Turn is off suit 6. Check, bet, I check raise. Capper 3 bets. I call.
River 5. Check, bet, I check raise, call and quads tabled.
A pro, usually plays bigger says I lost $90., for not making it 4 bets on turn. Another pro seems to agree, says lost $60., 2 big bets.
At first I disagreed but after some thought, maybe they are right. Villain is an OK but not strong player. Turns out Capper had AK. Thoughts?

The whole point of all the straddles is that the straddles don’t count toward the bet cap. They aren’t raises
I don’t agree with what they’re saying. If you 4bet he won’t 5bet and if you bet river he won’t raise.
But yeah the cap should be 5bets or 6bets depending on if it is a 4bet or 5bet cap casino. Unless it’s not an official “straddle” but actually a blind raise with no option.
I think you should have 4-bet the turn, but I think it's unlikely you lost much. After you 4-bet it's very unlikely V will raise the river, as his kicker no longer plays.
No idea how the guy thinks you missed 3 bets, that's impossible since it implies that you wouldn't put in the last bet with your quads.
I have played in places where you can straddle (with option) but the max number of bets is not increased. I've never thought as that being any reason for the straddle.
