Pocket Deuces on the button
I was having a conversation with a very good player about the play of pocket deuces on the button when the action is folded to the button. He said he automatically raises. I said it can’t be right to auto raise with them. In a time game perhaps because there’s no rake if a bet on the flop takes down the pot. In a rake game if the blinds are both on the tight side it makes sense but if both blinds are loose unless you flop a set it’s a very difficult hand to play most of the time. What do you think?

Without rake it’s a raise.
Otherwise depends on the blinds etc
I like playing hands
Oh hey Bruce, didn't realize you posted on here. Like I told you already I'm raising any ace or any pocket pair on the button when it's folded to me. Wish I still had my Hold Em Manager stats from when I played primarily online, but I would be shocked if it wasn't profitable.
