Here’s a fun one.

Kill is on and posted by the sb.

Good tag opens mp, i three bet QJcc next in, good lag 4 bets (not a cap) next in, folds back to the tag who just calls.

Flop is T82 rainbow with a club.

Checks to lag who bets, tag just calls, I c/r

You must know a 9 is coming.

Did the lag 3 bet and the TAG cap his overpair/TT?

U do it As a semi bluff or for value ?
Seem a bad semi bluff since there is 0% chance they fold both .
U planning to go all the way to the river no matter what ?
Are u wishing the flop raisor 3bet flop making fold the tag and hoping to make fold The lag on the river ?

Seem their is a lot of parlay in there .
Seem you are wasting your good relative position with possibly only a gutshot (meh backdoor flush draw too but….) ?

I have queen high, it’s not for value. Of course they aren’t folding the flop (one did, lol) but you can’t effectively bluff later unless you start telling the story now.

Yeah part of it would be I’m ok if the lag 3 bets out the tag and cleans up some of my outs.

I like it. The fact that it’s a protected pot makes it more credible and forces them to play more honestly than they otherwise would, and it’s a reasonably cheap bluff since you’re peeling the flop anyway.

What is your plan if you miss on the turn?

Are you going to bet the river if you miss? I assume you will.

The more I think about this the more I like your play if you think the LAG will fold AK, AQ, or pocket pairs less than Nines.

Depends on the action. If they both call and the turn bricks I’m going to bet. I’d probably check an ace.

As played the lag called and the tag folded, the turn was 4c and I bet.

So far so good. An ace gives you a double gutter but I suppose checking still makes sense if they both call.

In the spirit of telling a story, is the plan to 3bet if he raises or just call and fold UI?

For this game to actually be worth playing, these two guys should be the best players at the table. You should be trying to avoid getting into marginal spots with them, not going crazy trying to win every pot. Your money is going to be made in hands with the other players. You're also probably in the worst seat at the table.

Pretty funny thread, your play seems completely reasonable in this one. What semi bluffing hand do these people want? You are probably bottom of your range with ok equity. Give up on some (most?) rivers. You don't get to fire the board pair for example.

The lag open folded T9s on the turn and I was flabbergasted. But yeah betting any card that improves me or is a low non pairing card on the river probably. Giving up on A or K

Truly an insane fold wow. A quick look at solver says King is not a bad card for you and you should fire it off mostly. He doesn't have much king high and you can go ahead and value bet all your value hands on that card anyway. Ace is bad, board pair is bad.

Well, I guess you can ignore my earlier advice, as neither of these guys are good. Not sure why you said they were, but if they were the best players at the table then I guess the game was amazing.

The game is fantastic. This is part of a mix, not the tag’s best game

Funny Anecdote.
I was rewatching for fun old SW video and in a very similar situation OOP, 3 way pot he c/c flop and donk the turn when a J hit into the 3 bettor .

Tho the 3rd players wasn’t a lag capper but just a station calling 3 of.

Aren’t u discarding some pair outs ?
Maybe at best we have 4 outs ? Maybe 7 ?
