I'm late to the game seeing how the Summer is over (for poker purposes), but I feel like Gus Hansen deserved his own thread since his surge in social media presence this year. I don't know how many of you have instagram, so I thought it would be good to start a thread here to showcase some of his posts.
I appreciate Gus giving us a little glimpse into the high stakes scene in Bobby's Room. I was actually surprised that there wasn't a thread like this already, considering some other less funny professionals have their own dedicated threads.

I wanted to share a post from July 10 with the printout showing time spent in Bobby's Room. Gus claims to have spent 364 hours playing poker in Bobby's Room since about May 29, which is 42 days. That's 36% of his time dedicated to poker in Bobby's Room alone. If you assume he slept 6 hours a night on average over that span that's about 50% of his waking hours in Bobby's Room. Pretty incredible.

Gus is in 21st place in the 50K Poker Players Championship! Didn't even know he was in Vegas. Hopefully he can cash for a decent amount.
He sold a pokersite back in early days for 20 million. Then he was part of full tilt. So he still has money to waste.
he has also been a top professional gambler (poker, sports, backgammon) for the majority of his life. you're acting like he's some huge whale business man.
From what i have heard he did go broke and got a job as an accountant for a while.
