ppl ITT will happily sit to the left of murderers, drug dealers, war criminal, whatever as long as they're fish that donate to the game and act like they enjoy their company. some dude who runs a poker show that's greatly benefitted the game flirts badly with middle aged women and it's the worst thing that ever happened in human history. the pearl clutching is ridiculous.

my point is there are a lot of people in poker jealous/resentful of NV's success because he did something that was pretty obvious (go to a dead casino and cut a deal to stream a game out of there to make it popular again) but he just actually executed on it and made it way bigger than anybody expected. now he can play like a nit in whale lineups where the whales don't care because "they get to be on TV" while collecting YT ad money the entire time and salty pros that play in lineups of 8 pros 1 fish who is only semi-bad at the game hate to see it. nevermind their 1 fish is probably a worse person than NV.

I just don't see what you have against calling him out for being a dirt bag. I mean I think his real estate scams are way worse than this but still.

Because it's done for jealous/resentful reasons. Nobody is going to point to the biggest fish in the game and say "hey everybody, that guy sells coke for the cartel" because they want to win his money for selfish reasons. If Jordan Belfort sat in your game and started punting every miserable reg would be kissing his ass and saying what a cool movie Wolf of Wallstreet was, nobody would say he should be sending his buyin to the victims he scammed. It's all just pure hypocrisy.

One of the accusations is that an employee made a sexual harassment claim against him and he used his power to cover it up and get them fired. Within 24 hours there are now 4 verified claims of him doing pretty weirdo ****. Exposing himself, offering players money for sex and pressuring players for nudes.

Anyone defending him at this point belongs on a list.

I can't remember the last time I watched HCL and there was a time in my life I was watching it 4-5x per week.

Doubt Vertucci could successfully string together that many words. They seem like the typical, bitter incel types who think that men not being allowed to send dick pics to whoever they like is the reason they can’t get laid.

I can assure you my disdain for Nick has nothing to do with jealousy. Well past the point in my life when I measure myself against others. I could buy and sell Nick and many people could buy and sell me. Hopefully we are evolving enough to not excuse his behavior because of some perceived benefit to the "poker community".

His actions hurt other people and he has a history of doing this including scamming people. Have a little compassion and show some humanity. Why side with this douche rather than call it out in the hopes it will stop him from doing it again?

Because it’s dumb and hypocritical. Larry Flynt opened, operated, and played in the big limit game all the time at the Hustler. Did anyone organize a twitter mob to attack him and say it was unfair that Flynn with his reputation had influence over what women were employed at the Hustler? No they were tripping over themselves to get in that game because Flynt was terrible at limit and had infinite money to lose. Vertucci just gets hate because he’s built a successful platform with good deal making and good marketing and doesn’t lose in his own game. Oh well.

I've had women send me unsolicited naked pictures before. Sometimes I was happy to get them but sometimes I wasn't. I was never offended, in all cases it was flattering.

Good for you. As a general rule I’d say not showing pictures of your dick at the poker table is a good policy, especially when you’re the owner of the show and get to decide who gets to sit at that table. Makes you come off kinda rapey. Idk that’s just me tho

i dont think nick is rich enough for her lol (just my assumption from seeing her IG/X profile, shes taking trips to barcelona, wearing different expensive looking cloth, etc etc...)

Streaming in general has gained popularity which is probably a lot of the reason that happened but I will admit the production of HCL is way better. Hustler has the same games outside the stream and amount of them except for the big plo that’s private I thought so idk what you’re talking about about turning hustler around but even if they were more popular it’s just shuffling people from one casino in la to another. I don’t see how that helps poker.

I personally think he brings very little value because I hated his commentary, I don’t want to watch him play (the one hand an hour he does), the games he’s involved in are usually the most boring, I don’t know what his talk show is but from the clips I saw looks horrible and just in general everything involved with him just seems worse then the stuff that doesn’t include him. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe he’s a behind the scenes kinda guy and just when he’s in the spotlight looks terrible. Or maybe he’s a ****ing drag getting propped up by other people doing a good job and trying to take the credit.
