MonkerGuy Rental service

MonkerGuy Rental service

Hello folks, Merry Christmas.

I am Daniel Smiljkovic, a.k.a SmilleThHero, HS reg and stunt double of Teddy KGB.

I'm renting a server from MonkerGuy(https://www.monkerguy.com).
About a month ago, I had to send a friend $21 744usdt.
By mistake, I sent to the previously used address which was the one I uses to pay for MonkerGuy.
I realized the mistake few days, after when my friend told me he was waiting for his usdt.

I texted MonkerGuy about it and at first he said he never received it.
I checked on the blockchain and the money had been transferred to an exchange an hour after it arrived.
I confronted him about it and he now said the address belonged to a friend. He then also said, his friends account got freezed for KYC purposes.
I have asked about who that friend was, what exchange it was, …. MonkerGuy has decided not to answer any of those questions.

It is also interesting to note that that eth address was receiving payments in usdt on regular basis but suddenly stopped the moment my $21k hit.

Please be aware of this guy if you are using his rental service. I have always paid without any problems and no delays and this is not the way how you should run a business.

The address is https://etherscan.io/address/0xb64540cd5...

That was a really strange response to your link lol. Can't imagine any reason someone wouldn't want to click that. Especially when it was obvious what it was based on the URL, but even without that his response is still quite odd.

Perhaps, my response strikes you as odd. However, I've been at this online stuff for 45+ years, starting in the land of DOS, and moving to Windows since it launched, including poker and related services.

Feel free to click away on anything you like, especially on a public gambling forum but you do realize that the description provided for a link is not meaningful in a cybersecurity sense ? ...and in a thread about cybersecurity woes to boot.

I was interested in the described content, but unwilling to click on a link to view it.

My loss. I just prefer to read posted text in some cases.

Glad he finally came to his senses.

edit: Gzesh I fully understand your hesistancy to click a link btw, I think that's fine. Just like it's fine for me to just leave the link without elaborating.

Generally speaking we appreciate if people didn't just post links without any commentary. Shouldn't be too much to ask put a one or two liner about the contents of the link.

That said, someone who has been a member of the community for 15 years should certainly get the benefit of the doubt if they post a link that looks totally harmless.

I think if someone were maliciously posting a dodgy link, and added a description of what it supposedly is- it wouldn't help lol.
Glad to hear it's being sorted. Disappointing it came to this but big props to anyone who spread the message and tried help make things right. From my perspective I didn't want any harm to monkerguy just wanted the obvious right thing to be done. Good job to the community to spread awareness and no doubt help get this sorted

The fact that he first lied about the money, then doesn't want to share any of his "friend" information should raise lots of red flags. In my opinion, said friend doesn't exist and is just an excuse to keep the money.

Will keep an eye on this issue.

this is 100% the situation

should get a mod to rename the thread to something more specific to this situation

Received the money from MonkerGuy
Thanks everybody.

Glad you don't take it personally.

The lost opportunity in this case was mine to bear

Obviously not!

$200 rebate, you would have came out on top of this whole thing at the end!

glad you got paid back, shame it had to come to that, as is with the crypto world (dont trust but verify)

Big lesson on sending a small test/ checking address properly before sending aswell

I have seen this all too often especially with poker players.
