GGPoker's New Staking Policy Bans Outside Backing, if Backed, Requires Full Disclosure
- All staked players must disclose their backing arrangements in full via the new “Designated Backer” feature.

there is literally no way to enforce this crap
Seems reasonable to me to help catch ghosting, colluding etc they should know who is backing who.
More about making collusion more obvious if they follow the rule but far more importantly allowing GG to pocket their money when they do not.
If you are a horse in a stable, the money that gets withheld when you are outed is not your money.
Bad news for the scammers.
Only losing players need to get staked.
If you are a winning player you can grind up from low stakes very quickly.

That means more protection for the people involved.I know couple groups myself, never been in one. Most have no sec measures so the player can withdraw and never pick up the phone. Actually, in some EU countries no backing deals stand in front of the judges. so when someone disappear after a jackpot or a huge MTT win its impossible to recover.
