Death of HS reg Matthew Bergart

Always enjoyed railing his games and he was a player never shy of piling in the money if he thinks your going to fold in a certain spot. He used to play under Pmachine on Stars, and skyrocketed into HS recently battling the likes of Barak and Linus. Sadly he passed away way to young. RIP

Even if he had 100 million dollars online or in the bank without a clear will it would take time for his family to get that money certainly not in time for the funeral expenses. Im about his age and don't have a will do you? If I died tomorrow alot of my Networth would probably be unrecoverable. These sites pay in and out with crypto. If you die your cryptos kind of just gone

Ive set up instructions for this tbh after seeing so many young ppl go. I recommend others to do the same.

RIP Matthew. He was such an inspiring guy to look up to despite being the same age.

Matt was essentially a part of my family since he was 10 years old. His death felt like a runner-runner-runner for the entire bankroll. But the posts in this thread hit different, even half a year later—in a good way.

A deep thank you to everyone who shared kind words and experiences, both in here and elsewhere. They have meant a great deal to Matt's close friends and family and will forever play a critical role in the legacy he will be remembered for.

Oh, and one last thing: If you're a poker player with a reasonable net worth and don't have a will—strongly consider getting one. It's a small step that can make a huge difference for your loved ones in some absolute-worst-case outcomes.

I hope you're doing okay man. I didnt know him personally only from a sesh here and there vs him and following his trajectory, but I do relate to what you're experiencing. I lost my best buddy who my mom basically considered her son since we were friends from childhood up until he passed at 26(2018), and I still think about him all the time. Its different than when someone close to you passes and is older, those losses make sense, but losing someone at the prime of their life is the nut low.

Ive remained close with his folks and stop by their house when I'm back home. Call on holidays/anniversaries. It helps me but I also know it means a lot to them. If you're comfortable with it I recommend doing the same with his fam.
