PokerStars: The BIG Game in 2024
Nikki Limo is the first loose cannon. I guess she hosts some podcast or something. Never heard of her.
The lineup of pl
Is Lex the incel approved poker streamer? Havent watched him for years and cant say I liked his streams (mainly because how pissy and sanctimonious he got whenever some nobody gave him bad advice in chat) but never got the feeling that he would be an incel favorite. What makes you say that?
lol, Lex brought up this thread on stream today and talked about it and these 2 posts in particular.
Jennifer Tilly the best player at the table.
Phil Hellmuth didn't play a single hand the entire 50 minutes.
im with lex on this one you guys made some awful low iq posts. standard 2+2 stuff these days.
imagine having 1k posts on a forum and calling someone else an incel
She does the Aceholes show on youtube with Caitlin Comesky. I think she was on Jaman Burton's blog a few times too.
Ya, okay. Just seems like the Loose Cannon should be some absolute rando, like it used to be. Some donut store owner or bus driver who really has no clue, it was more fun.
Like I'd love to see some +20 handicap play in the PGA championship, not a club pro

I'd watch a 2 shoot a 91, but a 20 shoot 150 from the tips... ugh. They show those videos on Erik Anders Lang at championship venues.
Sure you'd do
he figured it out
1) Its 1 episode and way too early to call out Lex for anything and I didnt see him do or play anything wrong.
2) Helmuth is the standard nut low for pro appearances on TV poker unless there is another player at the table who has the balls to needle him.
3) Overall dynamic of lineups in Big Game s1 and s2 seem to have been way better. Almost every week of s1 and s2 had a really good mix of players, usually it was 4 pros vs 2 amateurs or 5 to 1. Majority bad players at the table is terrible to watch. The first 2 seasons had tables put together that had better personality dynamics that made for interesting dialogue.
4) Nothing will ever replace Tony owning Hellmuth over and over so s3 is destined to be the worst season no matter what.
Still glad its back and episode 1 was "ok" to watch. I think they said only 2 different tables were recorded so far so I hope the 2nd one is way more interesting.

I agree. I think Nikki is kind of the worst of both worlds in some ways because she's probably ok but likely not good enough to be considered a pro, but she's not an unknown either so we don't really have that 'everywoman' feel about her that we had with Nadya and Carrie in the first two seasons. Is Lily Newhouse a bit better at poker? (she's the other loose cannon).
Ya this series feels more like that Shark Tank show then the original 2 seasons. Too many interviews mid show and the poker being played is really bad. Usually Stapes has a few really good one liners but it feels like the producers told him to be a bot. The dynamic of "will the donk get lucky and win?" is also destroyed with Alan constantly donating money.
Stars should have made a new series or used one of its old ones instead of butchering big game which was one of the best poker shows weve ever had.
Yeah its on Youtube, but you have to go to the UK pokerstars channel as we seem to be geo blocked from the version in the OP.
First episode was a bit meh imo. I didn't like the X Factor style auditions but then again it certainly wasn't terrible. They just dropped the second episode I think.

Depending on where she is profit wise I could see him putting her in some rough spots with 30 hands left.
Much better second episode. Entertaining loose cannon and some classic Stapes lines. Had a bit of the old big game feel about it.
I like this LC. That raise with JJ against Keating was sexy.
Also Arden Cho might be one of the worst players I've ever seen.

Putting someone in a tough spot after already doubling her up?
Also having on some content creator with millions of views already doesnt scream integrity but more of a PR move. I could easily see her in stars commercials shilling their garbage where the prior loose cannons all felt like actual rng normal people. Stars should have taken this crap to another show instead of dirtying the big game.

He never doubled her up.
I'm saying if she's showing a profit with 20-30 hands left there are definitely spots he could put her in that are tough, assuming the money matters to her, because we know it doesn't matter to Keating.
Agree they could have picked more of a "nobody" to be the LC.
I actually feel embarrassed watching her reload its that bad. She's beautiful and clearly a talented actress but its time to stop the poker I think.
Good, hopefully she inspires more Asian women to start playing poker.
Did the previous series of The Big Game have a “pro” as bad as Arden Cho?
