Doubting OP's story is just common sense at this point.

Funny that, all the BKK regs are saying "not surprised at all"...

There is just bit too much smoke for it not being a fire.

by PokerZil k

And by using the same argument, anyone doubting the OPs story could be on rungoods payroll, or other ug game runners trying not to scare their marks away.

How can one not doubt the OP ffs?. They haven't provided a shred of evidence to back up an allegation. There should be a record, screenshots, anything that could prove the allegation needs to be shown otherwise this thread is worthless speculation.

If the logic in your post above this one stands then the same logic applies to everyone doubting the OP and there must be something behind the bs we smell.

Just a coincident then that 2 posters after the OP are saying there are shady **** going in these games?

Expecting someone to post hard evidence of link to illegal gambling operation is kinda lolz.

It’s quite easy to post real evidence. Otherwise anyone can just make threads like this with no evidence. We all know shady stuff happens but providing actual proof is inportant.

You can ask ThePokerAgent how he feels about Sampoker.

The thing is you ain't know s**t about poker underground in Thailand. Have you been there? Have you played there? Or may be you are just a new account created by the scammers to come & cover their stuff. The fact is i posted what happened & as an update the authorities have already taken action on my application through my foreign office channels and their games now on the run, nobody in Bangkok where they exist. I know i won't get that money & I don't care either but please get a life 🧬 and if you are real (not the scam club agent) then go Bangkok find it yourself.

From what little I know about Thailand (my father was stationed there in the military) is you do not want to go to jail in Thailand. Don't go to illegal gaming houses and you should be ok.

Drugs are the biggest risk or even an overstay which they take very serious. Get caught in gambling house and they'll probably be content taking all the money (but not a guarantee ofc)

Was there a Korean whale present who lost big and didnt pay up?

I hear such dude has been going around every ug game racking up debt.

All the "evidence" would be in telegram messages which the scammer has conveniently deleted.

Many many players have been burned by BKK ug poker clubs. Why? Because you cant do anything about it and they know it.

What do you mean by this?

"Sampoker" was alias used by the guy running Pokerbirds (now running as Titanpoker) and he scammed ThePokerAgent for like 6k.

Not a trustworthy dude. Strongly recommend avoiding his game. Bkk ug games are not in a good spot imo.

playing underground poker in a country where its illegal to gamble. what can go wrong?

Seriously. It's like people want to get ripped off.

Cliffs pls

I am currently playing there

I’m in bkk atm and just played a session at run good

Great service once your there
Nice food
Hot towel to freshen up
Massage
Drinks
And have a dog to play with
But
Don’t provide taxi

Played a short session of some 50-100 nlh and 100-100

The nlh was 10 handed
The game is pretty nitty and has some Russian droolers who play one hand every two hours then they walk around the house for 30 mins and eat 4-5 meals.

On several occasions the regs or house players
Would check it down if it was heads up between them two. Which happens a lot but it isn’t a deal breaker

A few players came and a few wanted to play plo5
So we started 5 handed plo 5

Never seen such soft play in my
Life it was unreal. Boat over boats check down between them. Nuts vs top set checked down
These pots was like 6-12 bb big

This thread, if OP were genuine, would only shows how f**king stupid some poker players can be.

I like the disclaimer, "determined to be apocryphal".

I also hear this club has moved to "secret" location.

Why would they move if they were legit...

I played at the old gutshot, from what I heard the actual owner(not Dodo) had good police/army connections and was a nice guy when I met him. Dodo was his employee of sorts, not a partner. I didn't play big games there, but stopped going when the daily game became all house players, usually nits. I did the math one day and found it would be very hard to beat the rake and it was zero fun to play. Later I found out from a friend who played bigger games in Bangkok that dodo always has sports betting debts he owes, so as an outsider I would guess hes always playing catch up. Trying to make some money where he can to pay off debts elsewhere. This is REALLY common in Thailand btw.

If the previous house owner is no longer involved I would be VERY suspect.

As many other posters have said, you get what you deserve when you join illegal underground games you found through facebook ads. If the games were actually good they wouldn't be using paid facebook/instagram ads etc.

Yep, the game there was terrible nitfest.

I dont think D was making much if any money from the game, reg told me he was the biggest whale at the table...

Many live games in this region are near impossible to beat with the increased rake structure unless you get 1-2 actually giving it away which is possible, but rare.

Live games in USA are great, in Asia they suck generally.

Good luck getting into juicy private games unless you are the game runners bestie, lol.

It is what it is. I feel like the live poker dream in Asia has been dead for a while. You get much better game quality and lower rake on the apps.
