WSOP and GGPoker and now Triton getting involved, too.
I wonder how the Wynn WPT Championship will do. And how will this WSOP do compared to last year.

Paul Phua and Richard yong are banned from Caesars aren't they? surprised the WSOP would work with them.
I guess they're not going to cede that time slot to Wynn without a fight.
For me, Wynn is a much easier choice since it's simpler travel and much cheaper accommodations. I can swing Vegas in December easily.
The Bahamas would require a different level of outlay. Expensive travel. Expensive accommodations. Not an issue if you're a high roller or perhaps based nearby like FL, but maybe an obstacle for the common rec tourist on a budget. From that standpoint it makes sense for them to shift their programming towards more of an elite market. If you are the type of person who can afford to blast off in a $25k or $50k then you probably don't care much what your flight and hotel cost.
They can also work the GG client and offer a lot of travel packages through qualifiers like PS used to do for the EPT.
This is less "WSOP" and more "PS Platinum Pass" / PCA vibes
They need 2,000 runners to break even. Yikes !
