*** October 2024 High Stakes Thread ***

Hello and welcome to the arena!

Previous High Stakes thread: *** September 2024 High Stakes Thread **...

: : :

We generally post ~200bb+ pots, but if there's an interesting hand/showdown, or if there's not much action feel free to post smaller ones.

Posting hands

How to post CoinPoker hands:

Click on hand #number in replayer.

Copy text and remove ante part of first row in hh:
Poker Hand #72306164: Omaha Pot Limit (200/400 ante 80) 2023/04/12 15:51:58 GMT
Add - after parenthesis. Line should read:
Poker Hand #72306164: Omaha Pot Limit (200/400) - 2023/04/12 15:51:58 GMT
This works until someone has a 7 figure stack, then you need to edit any number over one mega.

paste hh https://pokeit.co/convert/

The converted hand will say it's from GG, you may edit this too.

For the OCD inclined, search and replace § with $.

Post your nice hand here!

:

Please use the following options for converting hands:

Converter from Pokeit https://pokeit.co/convert/ with wide variety of supported games, multiple hand conversion, etc.

Another converter: http://www.railhand.com

Just paste your hand history, convert, copy generated code and paste in this thread.

If you want to post 2-7 TD hands: http://www.feralcowpoker.com.

Set it to "Two Plus Two - textonly" output, and show results and player names.

I still think EEE is top 10, just definitely not the best at cash games. But he's the 2nd best PLO tournament player imo

In Jared Bleznicks world, 2nd best is not that bad at all

Ask Xenoblade what is not a "basic of basic" gto advice 😃

I want to watch him explaining it.

I guess specifics are useful as opposed to just, play exploit if you spot leak, otherwise play default GTO strat

my main gripe is playing “GTO” is not that simple and this advice although true doesn’t really help someone who’s struggling? at least I’d think so

sorry for coming off as a prick

Well if you are moving up, find the best quality commercial videos and try to be inspired by the game to get better at it.

Don't just go do some studying mindlessly for 10 hours in one sitting, and then forget about it for 3 months.

Rather just do 60min/day, 5 days a week.

Also find a friend that plays around the same stakes and you can also go rent a server and solve some sims and study that way.

Do you think it's essential to run your own sims these days still or can we get by with extrapolating just from commericial sims?

Do commercial sims first, but keep open minded to the option to rent a server for a month or ask someone who does it if he could let you on it, and if you could play around with it yourself.

Myself I haven't watched a commercial video or any of those tools in years, because I think I can be more efficient doing it myself.

Though right now I am in "cooldown" period and don't study.

Would be nice when those commercial Wizards become good enough where it doesn't lag and can go play out some hands/situations on their website, so I wouldn't have to spend time organizing it myself.

Dont be shy!

Is this a general PLO ranking, HU or 6max?

Quite suprised over some

6max.

Where you think should be the edits?

HU list???????

It lacks the tournament regs like yourself if it were a general list

HU list???????

(champ) Berri
#1 contender GucciNIKE

(champ) Berri
#1 contender GucciNIKE

Do you think Berri will make a comeback just like Phill vs Venividi?

Someone told me that Berri vs asianflushie 800/1600 was going on for 2 years.

I guess it will come down to trench warfare and war of attrition between these two.

I am rooting for a youngster though.

I am still curious what exactly Berri meant by “we fight to death”. Like, hes down 5 magas and keeps going?

by Bondurant k

6max.

Where you think should be the edits?

number 1, 8 and 10.

10 being the most surprising pick on the list

I'm not surprised you're surprised. Nice troll from Graz 😉

Depends how we define it.

omaha4rollz up the most money in 6max PLO? He put himself into a position to get to those situations.

#8 doesn't play much 6max PLO so guess we can remove it, and ok 10 we can change also. Let's add Pollo32 and Acheron then.

I remember when they asked Berri who were the toughest opponents he played HU and he said:

1. asianflushie
2. Makeboifin
3. LLinusLLove

Do you Know if they were playing on Stars? If I'm not mistaken Asianflushie has been banned from PS.

Linus quit playing against Asianflushie, so he must be insanely good. 800/1600 is Crazy stakes too, especially facing those kind of HU swings:shocked::shocked::shocked:

Reminds me of Isildur1 vs Patrick Antonius playing 700bb deep @ 500/1000 like REAL MEN.
