Triton $500K entry semi invitational

Triton $500K entry semi invitational

Seems to be part of a trend. Half amateurs and half pros. Each amateur can invite one pro. The two group play separately

Nope, buttonclickr is Henry Pusyplayer or something

Henri Puustinen.

by herbalerv k

Believe that's buttonclickr

David Einhorn busted this first hand of the tournament 6bet shoving AKo into Bleznicks AA

Einhorn losing 500k is like a regular Joe busting out of a nightly $100

Henri Puustinen.

You are right , my mistake, can't edit now unfortunately

How did Bleznick get to play as a VIP instead of a pro?

How did Bleznick get to play as a VIP instead of a pro?

Sportcards

by JVinegar k

Fake news. Nowhere on the Triton page does it say anything about "Businessmen".

It’s obvious Triton went to some length to make it known that the VIPs are businesspeople. If I’m not mistaken they listed people’s occupations

They haven’t done anything of the sort, for this event at least

He doesn’t play NLHE is my best guess

a pool of pros selling 90 percent to each other sharing the value from rich whales who treat this as a $10 home tourney. i'm fired up!

No that's not how it's working. Considering roughly half of the field is a bit weaker they work as a team with their partner sort off. The invited player will have endless options when it comes to what pro to pick so he can negotiate in terms of getting swaps / buying action for a low mark up. I'm honestly not entirely sure where all the ev ends up. People charge very high mark ups so I would sort off imagine some pros / backers losing quite significantly. I think super highrollers are sort off broken. Regs swap and sell action to chop up the fish. Even though it's against the meritocracy of poker (which might not matter since its a 500k buyin), it might be a reasonable way to get these buyins going.

For all the people questioning vip /business man and so on, the invited player is essentially just someone who isn't a triton regular. It obviously isn't a secret that elias, saya, bleznick and a couple of others are pros lol. Considering elias was listed as a business man at a previous event I assume you kinda get one chance. If you want to play future stops you have to accept your status as a pro.

Let’s not forget, a lot of these pros are older now and were heavily into crypto early. There’s a non-negligible chance that quite of few of them have become quite wealthy (more than through poker) because of that. Sam Greenwood comes to mind. That guy’s been hemorrhaging money in these Triton events for the last 2 years and can still get people to back him, and/or buy in himself. At the rate he’s been losing, he should have qualified for a VIP seat

Looks like day 2 is starting with the pros and invitees still segregated, anyone know when they start mixing?

They’re mixed now.
$12.1m up top. 96 entries, 17 paid. $755k min-cash.
Would have been sick if they only paid the final table like a normal structure. Would be like $14m for 1st

Where can you follow this, even see who is left and the chip counts?

Triton app. join the live stream and click the link from Nightbot at the top of the chat.

Henri Puustinen.

Kind of expensive to buy 2 airplane chair tickets, and get a special XXL size seating arrangement at this tournament.

Lol, Sam Greenwood cashed for over $7,000,000 at Triton events alone the last two years.

Ben Heath turning half a small blind with 5 players left into an exta 4.5 million was quite a thing.

It's good to see a musician win the bracelet and the twelve million dollars, hopefully this will open the door for more musicians to make deep runs in cool tournaments.

How come this noname Jessica Teusl got a seat at the event? How much did she sell? 99.5%?

Can’t have any women in my poker tournament. You gay bro?

4 triton stops per year, $1m+ buy-ins at each stop (he fires multiple bullets) = around $8m in buy-ins. Not to mention he torched $1m in this event alone (fired 2 shells). He's down.
