$25K WSOP SUPER MAIN EVENT - Livestream
Livestream. Day 3.
Harvey Jackson just had a punt of epic proportions. Playing crazy the entire stream. How he nabbed 5th in the Millionaire Maker is beyond me.
Shoving ATo over an UTG raise is pretty marginal.
British and female stereotypes to fold your way up in the money.
Idk, at 20bb passing on good spots is a little lulz. Increasing stack by 22.5% is huge and an utg range 6handed is fairly wide so A-10o is doing quite well against said range. Even a hand like AJo or suited is prolly folding to a 20bb jam so she folds out some better hands. 66/77 isn’t calling.
Regarding the pay jump- idk I’m not a fan of trying to ladder when there isn’t a say 3-8bb stack still in. Sure it’s a fold if there is a super shorty but in this spot- praying to ladder up is funny when 6/6.
Shoving 20bb over the utg raise is a solid spot. Passing it up to me is a mistake. 6handed- ranges change, this isn’t a 8-9handed utg open.
On a final table that 3b jam is terrible unless you know that everyone on the table is playing perfect GTO which is never going to happen with aggressive players on the table.
it's a mistake on some tables but it wasn't a mistake on that table. the types of tables it's bad on are FTs where everyone is going to grind down the short stacks and you have short levels. on this type of table with 1 hour levels nursing a short stack and watching people bust is a great way to play your stack. yinan and addamo had been going after each other the entire time and yinan had already stuck his entire stack in on a bluff once.
nobody is criticizing addamo's play because he plays ballsy but he also could have folded to third and still had a big stack with $3.6 million locked up instead of busting out for $1.65. as spectators we want to see every player trying to go for the win, but as a player it's tough to criticize playing for the payjump when it's 7 figure amounts. even more so when it's not an 8 figure prize up top. going from 9th to 3rd you're making more money in this tournament than you are going from 3rd to 1st.
given liv is also basically retired and might play 1 tournament a year from here on, it's even harder to criticize because it's not like she's entering every WSOP event and wants to take these spots to try to win a bracelet knowing she'll be on more FTs this year.
Her fold of ATo was way better than Tamayo's fold of QQ to a single raise with a reshove stack.
