Tom Dwan - the missing man

Tom Dwan - the missing man

How convenient is it that he just falls off the face of the earth after issuing and bailing half way through a 50k hand challenge when he goes down over a million dollars?

He come out a year or so ago and said that he has this "big" problem with FTP that he would address once he had a decent nights sleep, what ever happened here?

He agreed to pay penalties on a monthly basis for not playing an agreed amount of hands with jungle, did cates ever receive any of the penalty money? I think it's about time the community got some answers. There was a lot of money placed on the outcome of the match which never got resolved, as you can imagine anyone who took jungle's side must be pretty aggrieved.

Ike and Justin bonomo was both judges along with Ivey being escrow, from what I remember Ivey wanted nothing to do with any of the decision making after dwan went AWOL which lead to phil sending jungle his 500k back. What's the point of having judges in any bet if they can't actually enforce any rulings?

If anyone else had bailed on a bet of this size when he should have escrowed the 1.5million it would be a much bigger deal.

To add to that he's listed to play in the 500k super high roller at the aria

so, after watching recent PLO streams from HCL I realized something

Tom Dwan:
- only plays live
- hosts private games in casinos
- great table presence, vips love to play with him
- makes some very questionable plays, especially preflop, but the game is all the better for it
- noone knows his finances, but is likely staked, possibly in debt at some point
- wins a lot at HCL streams

...is Dwan the new JRB?

Dwan is so much better a player than JRB though. Even if his finances are also a bit tight. I don't think Dwan is hurting for cash, even if his net worth might not be over like 3-4M.

No idea on his or JRB net worth though.

This is sad to see

I wonder what the ballpark figure is now for total money owed by Dwan?

He seemed like such an honourable guy, its disappointing to hear of all the unpaid debts

I mean if he werent hurting he would have paid the 250k to jetten by now?
In a somewhat recent ama on reddit doug polk stated that dwan owes a lot of people and isnt welcome on most stops
Seems like the dirty laundry is coming out sooner or later...

for the love of god can someone please tell me that picture is filtered or altered to make him look rough?

Who else does he owe?

Who else does he owe?

Jungle man for one

by AllBlackDan k

Is that trophy one of a pair because it looks like he has sat on the other one.

Any truth to this?

Someone posted he owes north of 10 million. If you add up what Polk, jungleman, and Peter Jetten are saying it unfortunately appears to be true that Dwan is heaps in debt to multiple people, sucks to see for everyone whose original poker hero was durrr

I hope for him it's not the Asians too. They seem like the types to get **** done. not just complain on twitter.

Bob Voulgaris has talked in the past about how Tom owed him a big number. There was loads of table talk related to it in one of the Hustler games where Bob said he bets sports through Dwan and at one stage he was up 8 million on the account but it took him like 8 years before he finally for paid most of it.

It is in the "Table conversation is top notch" section of the video.

Why wouldn't he share the texts? It gives his statement about Dwan validity. If Dwan is a scammer, which it appears, then the public needs to know.

Love how Viffer gives advice, after that Twitter Spaces where every single person said he owed Jungle like $150K or something for cross booking the Durrr Challenge, and they were like "So are you gonna pay?"

... Well, I don't know

Viffer and Dwan used to be pretty tight (I have no idea what their relationship is like now) so I'd believe him if he said sharing texts is a bad idea.

that hostage dwan trophy photo is unreal. if i could've glimpsed that photo through a crystal ball back in 2010 i would've pivoted from poker faster.

[Dwan plays Craps at Aria every night Tweet]

+1?

fave part of this video is DN rocking an extra 2 inches lush hairline vs. the player photo they have for him. its like the reverse of the ITYSL gorilla stunt

Feels like Viffer and Tom both have fried their brains with uppers

Rumours going around Tom is nuking his networth over and over with craps? Can anyone confirm or share any intel?
Ironically some pages ago in this thread people were going off at anyone saying he isnt just enjoying that game recreationally..

Lol Tom becoming a craps degen is best timeline. He's becoming TJ Cookie.

Maybe he's setting them up Ivey style!

Honestly not sure if Ivey is a legit degenerate. But a year or so before the baccarat thing with him came out I saw him playing 100k a roll craps. Could have just been a degen with too much money or could have been playing the long game to set them up for the bacc play.

I think its time for someone to update the 'cookie' to 2024. Maybe there is a new monster in town.

That Jetten stuff is a shame. Dwan is obviously a degenerate gambler & seems spaced out on God-knows-what half the time.

I haven't played or watched much poker in recent years but I still take an interest now & then. I recently saw the Tabletalk from the Dwan, Polk, Voulgaris stream where the JungleMan bet came up & when Dwan was challenging them on getting their facts straight he kept saying; "bet it, bet it". I thought, dude, you dont have to bet EVERYTHING. That seems to be his kneejerk reaction to everything.

Also saw him on a stream with Joey & DNegs a year or 2 ago where he seemed so spaced out that Negreanu eventually had to say "I don't think you know where you are, Tom" or words to that effect. They were laughing about it but it was kinda the elephant in the room that Dwan didnt seem with it at all.
