If that were true, then there then the qualifier wouldn't be dragged out restricting consideration of bracelets won to live and in Las Vegas.

Okay. I think.

The drought continues, just busted the 50k and probably punted the 10k stud rushing into it after the 50k.

I don’t get how someone who seems to have been pretty driven to improve over the past years (eg since the Doug HU trouncing), and the self reflection this requires, can’t see that he’s a big dog in these high roller lineups.

If you really watch extended footage of someone like Chidwick playing these things, you notice the high level stuff these guys do, the crazy spots they find and how balanced they are. DN may somewhat understand GTO concepts but he doesn’t actually apply them? Every hand history he shows is something any microstakes grinder on PS would consider a trivial hand.

This would all be fine if he just regged these events while showing some humility, but he keeps saying that he’s going to play differently vs GTO types compared to the lower stakes fields, and he has all this new stuff up his sleeve that he can’t talk about yet but ‘I guarantee no one else is doing this’ and how it’ll set him apart. lol. I’m fairly sure that if anyone is discovering exciting new strategies that will beat the HS guys it’s not gonna be DN

Sounds more like he just hopes to cooler everyone or something because he ‘feels like this is his tournament’ in the classic old school ‘lucky day’ mold

The line of people max late registration the 50k with 15bb's, wow.

Great play by dnegs raising KQo 4ways on Q108fd to find out where hes at

Some of these plays are passive and absurd. I think it becomes more clear with every vlog what his issue is.... it is in fact the vlog itself.

Daniel is too concerned about getting it in bad and making himself look bad in the vlogs, that he plays super passive. Calling off big chunks of his stack only to fold getting insane odds.

TJs goes check-check-check on the flop. Then hits top pair on turn. Checks behind after 2 players cuz bet would give his hand face up Loses to flush on the river. Then says he played it good. Lmao he plays so scared theres no chance for him to servive in the highrollers.

the only reason to check the turn behind is to bluff catch the river.

I wouldn't be shocked if he just made up his opponent showing the nut flush on the river when nobody called to make himself look smart.

some random in a 600 event excited to play with DN sure. a guy in a 50k? doubt it.

I mean in fairness, if he did win a few flips, he'd had have run deep.

Lost JJ to 99

Run AKs into AKo, chop. AQ into AQ, chop.

AK vs 77, he loses. 88 vs AT, he loses.

I mean, if he won the JJ to 99,he'd have been in a much better position, and winning any of the other flips, would have bounced him back.

I think the problem is that Amanda's in his head with Beat Saber.

Dnegs needs to suspend his WSOP, Google some tips and tricks, beat her score and then and ONLY then can he return focused on the felt

Yea that's how tournaments work.

People just have selective memories.

They forget how they get the chips, flips they won, draws they faded, being on the right end of hands that play themselves then cry when they lose.

it's very telling that despite googling the optimum way to play "beatsaber" he refuses to change how he plays it, even though he's losing vs his only opponent

I've pivoted to hoping he wins a bracelet just because I enjoy his vlogs and think it would make for a hell of a vlog.

Don’t think it has anything to do with the vlog. He just plays so weak tight, his thought process during the NL hand breakdowns displays how behind he is. There’s no way he can hang with the top players being so passive.

I've made that same point about how much money he has- with his endorsements it's hard to stay motivated.

I don't really think he's being attacked much (well besides his plo play which is horrific. To top it off he thinks he's great at it.)

Ivey is just a beast.

This 100%. He actually said PLO is 1 of his strongest game now.

Yeah, you can see that multiway solvers on 345 board w/TJs without flush draw would actually make pretty good bet on the flop forcing pre aggressor fold his KJ,KT etc.
Same video 15 big blinds he raise-calls 3b with tens and folds KJx. In one online event he 4,5x opens on button with QTs because didnt want to fold his hand if big blind with 20 big blinds shoves.

Really would like to see Negreanu to win some event, but overall it seems his play is all over the place. But I like the vlog nevertheless.

Got to be quite frustrating for Danny with people like Seiver, Ausmus etc likely to surpass him at this rate

Nobody calling Ausmus a Nit anymore .. Made a great AQ-high River call in one event ($2.5k NL?). Shows he only has 4 cashes, but it just seems like more. Plays all the games .. don't think he's staked, but could be $25k and up?

The spotlight is on DNegs because his 'job' requires him to put it there. Ivey has no where near the number of bracelet entries, had legal troubles and went through a period (like Seiver) where the cash games were just too good to pass up (in their opinions). Seiver even stated this year that he wants HOF status (not directly, but obv backdoor) and he needs bracelets on resume. He's no ambassador these days .. last with Full Tilt?

One could argue that Bracelets have a similar path as the 'All-Time' Money List .. how many of those Players actually have a net gain against those winnings? Magic Antonio for sure IMO .. and he's almost out of the top 30. It's not like golf where the winnings are almost pure profit.

Do we really think DNegs is doing the 'radio host' thing by stirring the pot with the content of the Vlogs? We know the Recs watch .. do the Pros? And how does that change the dynamic of hands played against him.

Whether I've said before or not .. I think because DNegs plays a 'complicated' style of poker he gets into more difficult spots than others, like Ausmus. Where players just 'always' fold to Ausmus, they call down or even play more aggressively against DNegs because they 'know' that he's wider and willing to make these big folds as well. So a Player's potential EV is much higher than against others.

I've done it plenty at low stakes .. relying on the opponent to be able to 'see' the Board and flow of the hand, but they call anyway!

Just like the J-high flush hand BvB .. WHO"S CALLING a raise there? IMO not exactly him nor many others .. That was over 900k chips that didn't need to go in the middle 'every time', which was plenty at that point of the tournament.

We're not in those moments and we've all felt those emotions of 'finally' making a hand and wanting to get max value. But if there's anything to be said for the bot-type Player, they're taking the Showdown .. Katz, Smith, Chidwick, Koon, Hellmuth, Haxton, Rast, Schulman all just take Showdowns there IMO. Maybe Foxen, Rheem, Berkey and other more 'cash' like Players go for that thin value.

Just like Rory yesterday in golf .. we all want to see the 'next' major won, but then what would the story be after that? GL

wait so he opened way bigger than normal so he wouldn't have to fold when he's forcing the BB to shove hands that are way stronger than normal that have q10s smashed?
well at least he'd have an over vs jacks lol.

DN’s hand reviews always seem to acknowledge there’s a GTO decision to be made here, but this time he won’t be making it. But then, turns out this time=every time

The weird thing is, when DN was in the later stages of his HU match with Doug, Doug acknowledged there was a point when DN was actually playing well, it’s just it came too late in the challenge. So I honestly think the guy does get this stuff, but he doesn’t ever seem to use it

‘I’m so good at this game, it’s stupid, yo’

you honestly think that or perhaps the more logical thing to think would be that some hands he plays like a solver and others he doesnt (just about everyone does that, the difference between a good reg doing this and a bad recreational doing it is the good reg KNOWS when he's playing close to optimal)

again out of the tournament by playing too passive. And after that typical rant how his opponent played **** and hes so good at this game its stupid

Oh boy .. he won a hand with an 8-high flush .. then misses out on the POY jump (frinkin' gutter).

Why does he have two basketball hoops facing different directions? Maybe one in front of the garage too? GL

I think it’s his neighbors basketball hoop.
