at this point, i would think even winning a bracelet is not worth all these million dollar losses.

Even looking at the big picture, winning a bracelet is not that big of a deal to the rest of the world. And it certainly is not any kind of contribution to society (which is not the job for a professional gambler, im just saying, winning a bracelet is not as prestigious as it once used to be. I mean there are random no-names who've won a bracelet who are just 9-5 average joes that decided to take a trip out to vegas)

Someone with his networth could do so much more for his legacy then trying to win another WSOP bracelet. When you have millions of dollars its a lot easier to create a history-cementing legacy.

But i digress...

I guess he can take the losses with his assets and contract. If he keeps losing big year after year, then he might reevaluate his approach.

imagine Dnegs as a father. I bet he wouldnt tilt as much and would have a higher chance of winning. He wouldnt tilt or focus so much on winning a bracelet when it's not the important thing in your life

Probably makes more on sponsorship and whatever else losing a mill$ a year at WSOP than not playing it, if he doesn't play all the high stuff his overall viewership and value to a brand would surely diminish considerably

He isn't total dead money in SHRs. He was up to about 2.5 buyins each bullet. If he won with QQ vs. ATs, he would probably have at least cash. He won (1st place) $300K buyin tournaments in both 2020 and 2022.

They probably are $-EV, but the value of the vlogs of them for GG makes up for that.

One of his biggest leaks is he doesn't fight enough for pots. His WWSF has to be extremely low.

It was always peculiar why Daniel Negreanu has so many fans. Curious, if some people have stopped liking the fella over the last few years , since it seems he has completely lost the plot:

- Recently snapping at fan for trying to take a picture with him
- Threatening people on live stream, " to beat them up ".
- Multiple Twitch / Streaming Tirades and outbursts
- Snapping at fans and players online
- Tirade against WSOP Officials
- "More Rake is Better "
- Feuds with Matt Berkey, Shaun Deeb
- Acting arrogant and mocking Phil Hellmuth before getting annihilated 3 times
- Feuding with Polk for years and getting completely annihilated. Complaining afterwards Online Poker is Rigged.
- "Women Poker Players, should play less hands than men " :O
- Smashing Vlogging equipment during Poker Go cup. Something which even Hellmuth has not done.
- Speaking negatively about new poker formats and game types being introduced to freshen up the game. As if 30 years of playing poker were not enough for him to master regular NLH. Or were they ?

Yeah, those mixed games regs in Vegas like the weird games to take the tourists. I like play badeucey etc. rather than just HORSE games, but some of those games are ridiculous.

Hahaha what did he say on this? If what you say is accurate, it's quite ironic. In the mid-2000s, he groused about the WSOP becoming the World Series of Hold 'em.

He just said he has never played them (the Archies, Drawmahas, SuperStuds, etc). The only one I have heard him speak negatively on is Baduecey, but at this point doesn't everyone hate that game?

I played RW once a few years back, took a 1 BI loss, and only got through like 4 games lol, they are def on the take, never again. Way too many multiway river spots where I was stuck between "buds", the few times I won the hand, the disgust on their faces was very telling.

My biggest issue with the 15-game mixes you see in a lot of the mixed games spread nowadays is not that they include unusual games, but that they include multiple versions of the same game that are extremely similar to each other. What does it add to a mix to include -both- Baduecey and Badacey, or -both- 2-7 TD and A-5 TD?

The only reason to include these slight variations that I can think of it that the players are hoping to win money off people confusing the exact rules of each game, and this is pretty icky to me.

If a game is going to be added, it should bring some strategic dimension to the table that no other game in the mix already includes. And a player should be able to sit down for a reasonable session length and get to play all the games. A 15-game mix is almost never going to do accomplish this.

I don't know about that. Baduecey and Badacey are quite different once you start playing well. I win much more frequently playing Badacey compared to when I play baduecy but that's because people over value terrible hands like A4578 with a 3 badugi. and with Baduecy most pots get chopped because people would rather stay pat with a 23457 with 4 spades.}

I do agree with the last part though. I'd much rather play 8 or 9-game and get to enjoy playing some of my favorite games instead of waiting out a rotation (and that's online.. playing live 15-game sounds horrible now that i think about it. Having to wait probably an hour to play my favorite games)

He seems to pick at Hellmuth all the time at tables. Almost like he wants to seem cool in front of the rest of the table. Hellmuth is way better tourney player then D-Negs. Last 10 years at WSOP Id say deep runs and results arent even close.

It's pretty clear he is very jealous of Hellmuth and tears him down every chance. Phil, meanwhile, always compliments Dnegs.
