Long day though with ten 60 minute levels plus breaks to get to Day 3. Seems like a lot of levels with only 99 Players left, so it must be a good structure. Wouldn't it be crazy if he eliminates a former champ to get a ME BI. If he gets one I bet he has a YTube contest and gives it away (to me). GL

I thought Dnegs was going to focus on quality over quantity this year? He has a stack in day 2 of the $500 freezeout and will miss the $25k heads up.
they had to have put some dye in that beard right? it looked so damn odd, and i'm usually a fan of a good beard.
He cashed in the 5K freezeout then jumped into the 500 freezeout where he bagged a decent stack for day 2.
The 500 was definitely not on his list of reduced tourney entries that he tweeted earlier this year.
And unless he does a one time double dip he will miss the 25K heads up today.
Now that he's 2 for 2 I'm guessing he throws the game plan out the window going for POY
winning the 500 probably gives less points than cashing the 25k HU

Don't think Daniel is ever 4-bet ripping worse than JJ+/AQ+ in this spot, so that seems like a loose call unless he was priced in.

IMO, no. Not this deep. The bracelet is everything to him. The money is irrelevant.
I watched his run in 2015 and thought he played very safe in the big spots towards the end of the tournament. That's not really a criticism. I just think he valued his tournament life and edge so much that he absolutely wanted to avoid gambling whenever possible, even if he thought he had the best of it. Getting action still meant the risk of a bad runout and elimination, so he would make it very obvious that he was super strong to get folds pre-flop with no showdown.
It's hard to say without stack size and bet size info, but I think JJ+/AQ+ may even be too loose of an estimate here. He may just have pure AK/QQ/KK/AA here always.
If anything, it being a $500 is the precise reason why he won't be running massive bluffs for his whole stack this deep. He knows he can steamroll this field.
