Ignition/Bovada actively stealing.

Ignition/Bovada actively stealing.

Yes it’s unregulated. Yes I get what I deserve.

However, today Ignition/Bovada went down around 4:15p PST. I was in (2) 7$ jackpot tourneys (one of which was 35$ and I was HU with a 3:1 chip adv.)

Anyway I can’t login and lose both for 14$. Annoying but whatever.

The site comes back up and the agent then says “the best” they can do is offer a 10$ credit which comes in a bonus form I must now unlock by depositing and playing through.

Obv this is unacceptable so I get back with chat and she switches it to an 11$ MTT ticket. I tell her that I lost 14$ and she said it’s 11$ or nothing.

At this point I don’t want them to steal all 14$ so I accept it.

I’m then told she will delete it if I don’t say so I accept it.

I was not the only player affected and if this is the compensation for all of us they are stealing a ton of money 3$ at a time.

This is the last money I will play on this site

You lost $3? Consider yourself lucky. They've stolen thousands from me I never got back a single cent.

What I’m saying is at least ACR you would get a full refund. Ignition doesn’t even provide a refund unless you bitch and complain, then they only provide bonus funds or less than full refunds which means they are stealing the money.

The tourneys were canceled and you got didnt even get a full refund? Even though you were HU in one of them?

Sounds like a scam even though the monetary amount is small here. You should get the ICM-adjusted value of your stack when the tourney went down, or the money according to your position. Getting less than a BI back would be a huge red flag about the site.

yesterday on ignition was pretty terrible.. was playing for a while and then got disconnected, luckily reconnected... then like maybe 20-40% of players in every one of my tourneis was sitting out... tried to reset the client on a break so my hud would work... but then i couldn't log in to the client, it just kept closing.... decided to delete it and try reinstall from the site... wouldn't download. was in about $200-300 worth of tournies at the time.

when i was finally able to reinstall the client, i was unable to log in due to too many failed attempts.... still haven't been able to get in touch with support to see how much is in my account, it's now monday....

ill try to get refunded some of it but looks like ill give ACR a majority of my business from here on out.

i know ignition is super soft, but is it worth all this? especially if i just play tournies....

Their software is garbage anyway. I hadn't played there in a decade and when I went back it looked like the only thing that changed was the table skins and they are garbage too. Never got too screwed, but I did have a few instances where I'd register for a tourney and it wouldn't pop up on start- ended up with short stacks and even blinded out of one of them. I withdrew and wont be back.

ACR and BOL are plenty soft. The biggest difference I noticed at Ignition is that pots went 5+ ways far more often.

yeah, not gonna feed the rake on ignition too much going forward. even without the disconnection issues, the software blows my anoos

Them haggling over a couple dollars with you is pathetic af from their end!

While I agree that only giving you the $11 is cheap, your attitude with them was also wrong. First the person you were chatting with did not get your $3. Neither did the company. They paid out the tournament prize fund. Your $3 went to that prize fund.

Sucks but is a known risk.

No, they did not pay out the prize fund. I’m sure the other player who was sitting out and was 7BB to my 20BB Did not win the 35$ prize.

I should receive my 14$ back. Never less.

Also if I registered for 14$ in tournaments I DID NOT get to play or finish and they give me 11$ back. Where does that 3$ go?

Anyone playing 7$ Jackpot sit N Gos where the prize was 35$ and you were sitting out, did you come back to 35$ in your account? I doubt it. I’m sure Ignition kept it all.

I can’t believe you are saying I was being rude after being stolen from then not properly compensated.

This is such an expensive mistake/goof by them considering how much rake most regular players pay lol, even at micro stakes. A couple of bucks wronged can push away tens of thousands in paid rake.

They weren't cancelled, is the thing. Apparently, some people weren't booted. I was. My MTT went on. When I was finally able to log in, the tournament was still running. I had blinded out, but I had enough of a stack to cash anyway.

.

You're sure? Given how it shook out for me, and the other guy upthread who wasn't booted, I am skeptical that they simply cancelled your jackpots and confiscated the buyins. Ask for a HH, see if the other guy was one of the lucky ones to not get booted, came back, and blinded you out.

Which may not be any "fairer," but it's not the fault of the people who were able to stay logged in that most of us weren't.

I could care less about the other punter. I would love to know if he got the 35$ though. I can tell you I honestly doubt the site made it right.

I do care that this company who rakes millions refused to give back my full buy ins while their system is the cause for my loss not me.

There’s a 50/50 chance this site just keeps the money after these crashes when the customers ask for a refund.

Them actively giving (me,Us) less and threatening to give me nothing for an incident their software caused is absolutely blood boiling.

**** these trash scam sites. Just a heads up and hope you get your %75 “Compensation” for their **** up

I am 100% done with online poker. I’d Rather get scummed face to face at commerce.

FWIW Ignition has made it right and credited me the buyins lost and given me a 15$ MTT ticket.

Hopefully a lot of you have received the same thing. Idk if this would have taken place without all the stink, but be diligent with these sites that rake literal millions per month.

Update : I was able to get 2 tourney tickets after arguing with support
For a bit… they tried to say there were no problems on their end.. then I referenced their x.com post saying that they were working on the issue…

Ended up getting refunded a $55 tourney ticket which I sat’d into and a 15$.. on Sunday had some stacks when I couldn’t log back in… Coasted into the money on some and about broke even…

Ended up shipping the $55 45k gtd for 7k on Monday… so it’s bitter sweet.. was able to cash out to my crypto wallet in less than an hour, so at least they got that part down…

Probably not going to get a ton of tourney action going on sundays until it seems safe to do so again

I'm convinced their support training manual instructs them to always respond with saying the problem isn't on their end by default.

They only investigate if you push further with undisputable proof like their own admission to being down.

So basically they are just free rolling you hoping you won't bother to press the issue.

^yep. At first I showed them a Bovada tweet about the outage …” kind sir, this is ignition casino, not bovada please”

A 2 second search on x.com saying the same thing and she refunded after taking “2 minutes to investigate please”

That’s awesome. They do have very good cashouts and with a little tweaking they could become the stone leader in the grey market.

They should move away from anon but that’s another story.

this. 100% this.

I'd rather play PLO on WPN (AKA ACR/BCP) than Ignition. At least people fold on WPN which reduces the variance by quite a bit.

for sure. never play anywhere where nobody folds

lmfao

I got so excited for a juicy bodog stealing story. THREE ****ing dollars.

Coming from someone who has almost certainly lost thousands upon thousands to collusion and cheating on Bodog. **** you.
