How Crypto is Changing Bankroll Management in Poker
Hey everyone, I’ve been experimenting with using crypto for managing my bankroll, and it’s been a game-changer for reducing fees and speeding up payouts.
I’m curious if anyone else here is using crypto for deposits, withdrawals, or bankroll tracking. What wallets or platforms do you recommend?
If anyone wants to dive deeper into this, feel free to add me on Discord - **removed by mod** or PM me.
Love that folks won’t accept a govt fiat currency which is indirectly backed by the world economy. The govt can certainly devalue the dollar by printing more. But the govt can and does tax the national GDP to pay off debt. Not perfect but there is something backing up the dollar.
BTC is literally a fiat currency backed by nothing. Sure it can never be devalued by printing more but there is nothing backing it up. It doesn’t have any inherent value to devalue. It only has value if you can find som
ok ... i won't start a philosophical discussion on this one, also clearly you never read the Bitcoin white paper (from what you argue), nothing bad about that, but let me give you some basic facts, may be it will open up your way of viewing things, if not, GL.
besides all the technical stuff, scarcity, etc., BTC has one thing going for it that makes it different from FIAT on a ground level, that shows the true genius of its founder - you don't need a bank.
what does that mean? think about it, when a wants to send money (fiat) to b, you can not do that without a middle man, called bank. BTC eliminates that, you send it wallet to wallet, no intermediary needed.
why is that good?
banks are not "good" (hard to find the right word), they are just leeches, sucking society dry. you ever studied what happens in the big housing crash in 2008? you know what a CBD is? you know how much money they made, packaging or basically inventing products out of thin air, how much commission they earned? Who do you think paid for that??
and when it all went downhill, did anybody go to jail for that?? no ... and on top of that, the government (again, by simply printing fiat) backed them all out (argument: too big to fail ... bla bla), and guess who pays for the government when the print fiat? you.
so, in summary, the banks robbed you, got rich of it, and when it all failed, they got saved again by you, robbing you again. great institution ... ;-)) and this is just one example.
all this will (can) never happen with BTC, bc you don't need a bank, which is also the reason they lobbied against it for so long (look at Jamie, JP morgan CEO, and others)
i could go on like this for ever, but i think (or hope) you get my point ...

Basically removing human greed and corruption from the equation.
However, this same big money rekting the small ones is happening in the meme mania now.
exactly
true that, but that's only bc you choose to play roulette in a game where the house (guys who set up the coin and rug you afterwards, or hold 80% of the supply like in Trump case and can manipulate the market at will) holds all the cards ... pretty stupid to do that if you ask me.
using bitcoin for what it's supposed to be used, you have so much advantage over classic fiat (which is why banks and governments hate it)
plus:
the small but important point that it's unhackable ...
but, enough of this "serious" stuff, let me get back to "Netflix watch instantly"-thread ;-)

may be i misunderstand what you are saying, but what has the currency of your coin (fiat or any kind of crypto) to
When he sets it up for you; allows you to make a purchase, then recovers your wallet; his bank roll is managed....by your funds,
That's what this is. A scam.
