Anthony Marsico, a poker player with a Hendon Mob page going back 15 years got charged with insider trading.

First, thanks for sharing. This is classic insider trading + a "pump & dump" scheme. Based on the indictment it seems as though Mr. Marsico left a nice paper trail for the Feds to work with which makes defending this case very challenging. If you match up his Hendon numbers you can see that he had a 4 year lapse, in playing tournaments, and then started entering tournaments with huge buy in's , up to $50k, after he made his score from the pump & dump scheme. I wonder how much he lost in the tournaments he didn't cash in? My hunch is he will likely meet a dude called "Bubba" by the end of the year.

I've heard prisons not so bad but I've also heard stories where you really have to use your fists. Godspeed to everyone getting incarcerated.

It depends, he is likely to be sent to a low security prison where things are realtively calm. If you are a quiet inmate and keep to yourself, or a small clique of inmates, you are usually ok. If you are a mouthy inmate and stick you nose in other peoples **** you are likely to get your face smashed in. Obviously he likes to play poker and he will have plenty of time to play, and plenty of people, to play with in his future home.
