David May Have Missed A Golden Opportunity With “The System”
As described in TPFAP, if we assume the Casino Owner was Bob Stupak (who finished 16th not 5th in the $2500 NLHE) the events in the book took place in 1990.
Maybe David could’ve recruited 6-10 coeds from UNLV (preferably Liv Boeree types), got ‘em trained in a more refined System and acclimated to handling cards & chips, table etiquette, Binions atmosphere & some of the players behavior, entered them in the ME the following year (215 entrants in 1991, 36 paid) then booked a bunch of props & last longer bets at outrageously inflated prices.
You don’t think someone like Puggy wouldn’t have offered 500-1 against at least two of girls finishing ahead of him, for example?
