Multiple Main Event FTs (post-Moneymaker Era)
If we only include from 2003 onwards, the following made multiple WSOP Main Event final tables. If I'm missing anyone let me know.
Dan Harrington: 2003 & 2004
Ben Lamb: 2011 & 2017
Joe Cada: 2009 & 2018
Antoine Saout: 2009 & 2017
Damian Salas: 2017 & 2020
Mark Newhouse: 2013 & 2014

I think that's the full list. I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head.
Ivey had a 10th in 2003 followed by 7th in 2009 (as well as a 20th in 2005).
Alex Livingston and John Cynn are other big almosts here.
Mike beat Johnny Chan in rounders and went to the wsop.
Also Greg Raymers run in 2004 and 2005 was pretty sick- to win it and then come 25th with the size of the fields getting bigger from there or there abouts

10th is an existential metaphysical semantical question. The last ten players are grouped onto one table. Is it the last table, the final table, the ultimate table, the only table left, and the remaining tableβ¦
Also, itβs about time someone started a thread about WSOP history.
Michael Ruane only has 21 Hendon cashes which include a 4th (2016) and 10th (2017)

I believe they call it "the unofficial final table".
If I were a judge, my ruling would be that it does not count as making the FT.
So close, yet so far.
Many would-be cool poker achievements have been tripped up in that 10-11 range post-boom (Scotty 11th in 2007, Mortensen 10th in 2013, Gaelle Baumann 10th in 2012, Negreanu 10th in 2015, Ruane 10th in 217). Ruane was a good shout. I had forgotten how close he came to the Newhouse back-to-back. Wild stuff.
