Bot farm exposed iPoker Italy?

Hello guys,

Hope everyone is doing fine.

I have been a long time Heads up low-mid stakes regular on many sites, who currently lives in Italy. I have mainly been playing on IPOKER ITALY for a few years now and i see a very bad pattern regarding to BOTS, operating on their network.

In the beginning there were here and there some bots playing, but lately they have gone crazy, because Ipoker security team just doesnt give a damn it seems.

From 10 bots operating on 1 single stake, to bots blocking 6-max tables so that they can isolate the recreational player, bots playing 24hr+ sessions etc. etc.

I have gathered some irrefutable proof that I want to show:

- In these images i caught 10 bots that were playing at the same time and everyone! opening preflop same size! (3.2x)

- In this video you can see that bots are blocking the 6-max tables and letting 1 seat free for the recreational player to sit in. This way they can play the recreational player heads up! Crazy

- Next one; I monitored 1 bot for a day to show, that they are even making 24hr+ sessions. Screenshots are taken with 4-5hr interval. Note that there are many bots making these sessions every single day!

At this point its clear that IPoker Italy has a major problem with bots and they are doing very little to get rid of them! Are there other players in the community who witnessed these bots-invasion on Ipoker?

Is there a Ipoker representative who can give a explanation why they tolerate these bots on their site?

Best regards,

Italianguy

uniform pre size to 1 decimal place means nothing. 24hr sessions tho...not good.

29hrs and counting, i guess he doesnt like to sleepπŸ˜ƒ

Thanks for the reply.
What are the odds that exactly 10 players playing at the same time, using the same preflop size (3.2x isnt quite "normally" for regulars to open in Heads up), and the fact that none of them plays eachother. And this is only on 1 stake caught. We can hopefully agree that the chances are very very small to say the least right?

there is at least one reasonable explanation for the bland sizing.

john nash at princeton thought there was a conspiracy because he noticed an abnormal amount of people wearing a certain clothing. it turned out that the suit and tie or whatever was especially in fashion, and everyone had started copying each other.

i agree it indicates something (the sizing)....but i think to say "exposed" based on that or in-part because of that is a stretch.

Again, in Heads up its very uncommon to open these sizes. Its most likely an exploitive size, vs someone who defends their blind more then GTO recommends( most humans do that in general). Nevertheless thanks for the input.

This is really insane lol

Yeah, I used to play 6-max and HU cash, but when the blocking started in 6-max I had to stop. Also worth noting β€” they keep rotating bots. Every month a new batch shows up, the old ones disappear. Only a few names lasted longer than a month.

I see some people are skeptical about the sizings, but what are the odds that every month 10 new players appear using the exact same pre/postflop sizings, then completely stop playing, and another 10 replace them? πŸ˜€

The situation there is ridiculous.

thats ridicilous indeed. What stakes were you playing?

Yeah β€” what you’re describing actually lines up with what many agents have been doing lately.

A big part of those β€œrotations” comes from iPoker.it cracking down hard on VPN / foreign IPs. A lot of players get blocked, then agents simply re-issue fresh accounts. So part of the constant β€œnew faces” phenomenon isn’t organic traffic β€” it’s recycled players.

That said, I fully agree with your core point: there are bot rings on iPoker, especially in HU Hold’em (which is close to solved anyway). Same pre/postflop sizings, same patterns, same behavior trees β€” then they vanish and a new batch appears. That’s been going on for years.

So it’s probably a mix of both:

legit players being rotated via agents after VPN bans

plus actual bot clusters, particularly in HU

Either way, the ecosystem there is clearly unhealthy.

Thanks for the reply and information.

May i ask you how do u know all those things? This must be some inside-info i assume?

I have also heard that the Italian gambling law protects those bot-owners by for example that pokersites not being able/allowed to confiscate the funds of the botaccounts. Is that correct?

Yup, you have described situation very well

Was playing nl100-200

same here, then we got the same problem hereπŸ˜ƒ hopefully it will be fixed soon. cheers

This isn’t specific to one room β€” it’s a network-wide issue on iPoker Network.

From what I’ve seen over time, the network does take botting seriously. When there’s clear evidence, balances are confiscated β€” no discussion.

Where things get blurry is at the agent / Italian skin level. Some agents have commercial arrangements that make it much easier to recover funds unless the case is absolutely airtight. So in many borderline situations, accounts get closed, but money goes back.

That’s largely why you keep seeing the same patterns repeat.

Dont know if anyone is still reading this thread, i think its still a problem. I play on an iPoker skin in the UK. In the 'global' pool im convinced its filled with bots. In the ringfenced UK pool it plays completely differently. I wish I had the time to really look at the patterns in the 'global' pool but i only get a few hours in the evening to play so just play in the UK pool for now. Unfortunately i think its an issue on every site!
