Stop using "punt" as a term for playing badly. Punting is a strategic part of football. You don't go for it on 4th and 12 from your own 7 yard line.

A player never wants to FUMBLE. That's our new term.

Punt is just another word for gamble. Also, sounds like you're playing football wrong.

"Punt" has more than one meaning.

1. A type of kick in Rugby or American football.
2. A flat bottom boat
3. To gamble (British slang)
4. The national currency of Ireland.

We speakin' thee English here .. we pride ourselves on words having multiple meanings.

Punt is an excellent word to use for this poker scenario just from the pure act of one Player putting all those chips out there for the other Player(s) to 'catch'.

Whereas in football a punt IS advisable as described above .. a punt in poker IS NOT advisable. Sure, sometimes a Player will get their chips back via exploitable fold or suck-out. But for the most part it's a Player making a play that really should never work based on the circumstances.

Initially I don't like the word fumble since a football player doesn't 'choose' to fumble, whereas a punt is a conscious decision by both the team and the poker player. GL

Anyway, they told the community that there won't be any giveaways due to that, literally saying as a punishment for the one guy misbehaving, communism much.

Than that guy was apologizing and said he will leave the subreddit Here. Aaand mod did not like that, so the "punishment" is 3 days no giveaways.

I don't really care about the giveaways, it was a fun 4 days with a lot of engagement, but what place has collective punishment in 2024, from a big company like this :O:shocked:

I haven’t played Wordle in quite a while.
But when this happens, it seems like the correct strategy should be to guess a word that contains 4 of the 5 possible missing letter. And then you’ll automatically get it on the next guess based on this.

This only works if you find the exact 4 correct letters and still have 2 more guesses left, otherwise its impossible. And if you need to prepare for this possible scenario every time you play then that just lead to stupid min max play like starting with the statistically optimal word that you googled instead of you know, typing in a random 5 letter word and then using your brain. Like I said, **** game.

I always start with MOIST. I’ve gotten the answer on first guess 4-5 times.
