Oh my God, this really was a sad graph to see after his initial successes: https://www.sharkscope.com/#Player-Stati... A reminder about the variance in the games though and/or how easy you can loose profits from lower BI-levels if you start using them on higher BI-tourneys (it seems that is what happened after he hit a few very good scores at the middle of the graph)
(Going backwards in the forum, looking for interesting post if someone is curious about why I'm bumping some old threads)
He might have stopped playing tournaments (although I have no idea why he would). ACR cash is kinda brutal imo, especially the 6 max.
If this post was in BBV (where it probably belonged,) the obvious response would have been "LOL sample size."
$0 to $75k in 3500 games. $75k to minus $25k in 3500 more. Sigh.
It is sad to see the return to the mean take place in so graphic a fashion.
There you were thinking you had skills, but you were just running good, and now it is over.
We all know that feeling you get when everything that was working so well suddenly turns into ashes.
I'm practicing starting hands with a deck, have done so for some time. Have seen cold decks. Normal decks. Today something extraordinary happened. High pair after high pair after high pair. 6% probability for getting a pair? Sure.
lol I see the early posts in here and look at the graph and he's down 15k. Really though he had some big scores relative to his ABI so it's not too shocking he shot up then came back down.
