Too aggressive with pocket 9s? WSOP $600 buy-in deepstack

I was at 25 BB, UTG +1. UTG (chip leader at the table) raised 3 BB. I went all in with pocket 9s. Button also went all in (he had me covered), and the initial raiser tanked and called. He had pocket 10s, button had pocket aces. The aces held up.

Was this too aggressive or was it the right play given chip stack?

What’s your other option? Could have 3 bet smaller and not shoved but then face a 4 bet from AA. Then you can maybe try to think it through and get away from it but would likely have ended up calling it off anyway.

Think this is totally fine if opener isn’t a total nit. 25bb- unless icm implications exist- this is perfectly fine. I’m not 3 betting 99 and folding on such a shallow stack. We get into some dicey spots if they flat suited Broadway also. 99 doesn’t like a lot of flops honestly.

We pick up 5.5bb and increase stack by 22% with no showdown if opener is light and nobody picks up hand behind. This type of stuff running into better hand is standard Mtg variance
