GG MTTs super shallow very quickly. What adjustments to make?
I have only ever grinded MTTs on stars since about 2019 or so and have had very good results and managed to learn a lot from studying and reviewing my own play ICM spots etc.
However I have been playing on GG for a year or so and all the tournaments just get super shallow super fast. I think it has to do with the fact that the blind lengths are shorter but the software is so much longer, animation times emotes it takes longer to deal the cards you cant disable animations etc.
I will have maybe 15BB in a turbo near the money only to learn I'm like top 10 in terms of placement. So more than often your stack is just far more shallow than that and for the hour or so before ITM you are in extreme push or fold mode and that's on normal speed let alone turbos and hypers.
My FT results are a lot better with the blinds roll back but in general I really do not like these structures, accumulating chips early your lead seems to evaporate really fast even on reg speed tourneys.
One last point, my all in adjusted EV on gg over about 200k hands i was down about 5000BB under EV, of course variance etc could just be running horrendous but I have seen hands go from dead on flop to 20% equity on turn a suspicious amount of times and after all the scandals on GG I would not be surprised to here something's up.
Any big volume micro MTT grinders on GG, what's your strat in these tourneys and how have you adjusted from other sites?

I'm literally in the same boat as you, grinded tons on stars party poker other websites used multiple accounts etc, had good results for some periods but more or less have stopped tracking and had lots of breaks in between. I recently started playing GG and I couldn't agree more, I find that even in deep stack tourneys you're 100BB stack dwindles to less than 20 in under an hour if you don't consistently make top hands and get that ol tourneys luck. And not everyone can afford larger buy ins in the hopes that you don't super unlucky.
I haven't made the leap yet but BBZ poker has a lot of great content that Lex Veldhuis discusses on his stream, I don't remember specifically which ones he recommended but they are quite pricey at $125 a course, but I'm sure some of those instructors have strategies to better your game in these tight 15BB spots.
