Hi Folks
Summary at bottom of post.
Hi,
Apologies, very long post - hope this is the correct section. Tried using search tab, wasn't sure where to post.
I'm new to the forum, very 1st post. Although have been lurking for a short time.
I've been playing poker for years, started with PartyPoker play-money at around age 13-14, using macros to build my chips and then giving them all away... but I've always enjoyed it regardless.
I'm 28 now and have naturally progressed to real money, playing a lot of sub-sats, satellites & mtts on 888, rarely cash games.
I have played poker all of this time trusting my gut feelings, often times doing pretty well, or at least I was...
I was winning a lot of sub-sats, satellites and often ITM in most tournaments I was playing. Again, mostly just using knowledge I had gained over the years.
Then... I started trying to study a little, watching YT videos, reading this forum, etc...
Trying to learn about things like table position (knew due to playing, although didn't know the names of table positions with exception of Button, BB and SB), ICM (still don't have a clue) & ranges, bet sizing, etc... which initially helped, although doesn't feel like it is helping now.
For example, 888 usually have a $109 main event Mystery Bounty on Sunday. Multiple weeks in a row I was able to satellite in for $1 - (not without a rebuy sometimes of course) and was able to satellite in again for the same day.
Due to already having won a satellite entry, 888 will give you the tournament buy in as cash ($109). I can only dream of doing this again.
I was doing pretty well in all of the above - able to build stacks and happy with my play, but can't seem to win anything as of recent. I don't even care about winning large amounts, as long as I cover my buy-ins, which I was previously able to do consistently.
Some days I can play with $10 and I'm able to satellite my way into various tournaments ranging in buy-in price from - $5.50/$8.80/$11/$109 and even a $320 on one occasion - other days I can't even win a $5.50 tournament ticket (which costs 0.50 cents) without spending considerably more. Bad bankroll management maybe? Either way, the inconsistent play is killing me.
Apologies, not sure if I've included the most important details - and yet this is still the length of a book.
SUMMARY:
I have been playing poker for many years. Was playing somewhat consistently but have had a recent downswing due to bad play I think. I understand the concept of variance, feeling like this is just bad play though.
I play on mobile and would prefer to keep it that way at the moment. Willing to switch to laptop and invest in tools when fundamentals are sorted.
Wondering what resources would help me fix my game and get back/revert to previous levels of play & play more consistently.
I have done research in case anyone thinks I'm just lazy, just feel as if I'm not absorbing due to sheer amount of info out there. Looking for easily actionable tips. Don't use a HUD (can't on 888 mobile) or any sort of tools to upscale my game. Although would be willing to purchase if it would seriously help - feel as it is maybe a bit above my current skill level though.
Don't have hand history due to playing on mobile & would consider coaching in future, too expensive atm.

Managed to have my first winning day in a while yesterday.
Spent about 10 dollars and managed to win 2 x 5.50 tournament tickets (0.50 each), entry to the 109 PKO and 5.50 mystery bounty.
Cashed the 109 - 11th for about $150/160. No cash for 5.50 MB.
