AA Shallow SPR 3 way pot in $500, two street or jam flop
About 150 runners, like 56 left, top 18 get paid. Blinds 1000-2000-2000. Hero with 70k is effective stack
UTG+1 7 opens to 5500, CO calls. Hero 3b to 15k with AA, all else fold, opener and CO call.
Flop K23r
Checks to hero.
50k in pot, stack 55k. I think a jam will be called by all K. Flop is bone dry. Should I bet small, hoping to be called by pocket pairs below K and maybe some back door draws, or jam now?
I’ll go ahead and spoil the results. I bet 15k, setting up a 1/2 pot jam on turn with one caller. Both call.
Turn 6 completes rainbow.
Still bone dry and safe for AA. Checks to hero. Jam. Opener calls, CO folds.
I turn over AA thinking it’s the nuts
Villain turns over
Spoiler
66 and run out bricks, leaving me thinking “how the **** 66?”

You played it right. Bad luck 2 outer.
In fact I think the fact that he called with 66 on the flop validates the small bet even more. I assume I’m getting value from 44-QQ this way (if TT+ aren’t 4b pre), all Kx, and some back doors probably. On the other hand, jam is probably only getting called by Kx.
Now what if I was only 60k deep to start the hand, same preflop action. Now spr is less than 1 to start. Is a small sizing still preferable?
Yeah, I think jamming scares away anything below a K, and those will pay you off anyway, so the small bet on this board is preferable. You want to be called by a lower pair, which is exactly what happened. I might even check one street for deception.
