Raise bigger pre atleast 3x probably 3.3x-3.5x.
Sure, this time it worked but overall that min sizing is going to give even 76s the right odds to call va even your AA.
I don't do it this way.
My raise pre flop would be to about 4x maybe 4.5x. I prefer not to play AA vs 2 players if possible and I think while MP may call in position, SB would often fold. The other consideration is to jam. I would be jamming here with a lot of hands like AXs/ATo+/some mid range PP's (unless this is the first time Villain limped preflop) because I would prefer not to play OOP post flop. I think I don't jam with AA because we block so many hands that might call and MP did limp and would most likely fold.
On a rainbow flop like this I would probably bet 2.3 bb's to cbet. Once MP bets 1 bb on the flop and SB folds if I raised it wouldn't be to 2 bb's. MP should realize at this point that it is a monster you have. Which he didn't...
Also in your post you have SB folding on the flop and then when you raise you have SB jamming. I think its the MP who jams.
It would also be good to know the cost of this tournament. I'm guessing it is a low stakes tournament. In high stakes tournaments players rarely limp first in... Also, MP doesn't seem to get that you have a monster the way you are sizing your bets.
Please don’t post hand outcomes.
Your objective in this hand is to get maximum value from AA. You did pretty well in that.
Personally I’d be going 3-3.5x pre with a limper already in the pot.
I’d bet flop at 1/3 pot - I’d do this with pretty much 100% of my range on pretty much 100% of flops.
Assuming there’s a call on the flop and we get the same runout then I have a pot size jam on the turn
Your bets are too small. Even scaling down because of your stack size, I'd still go 3-3.5x pre.
Why'd you check the flop? And why did you check-minraise a minbet? You're basically giving him correct odds to draw one and try to hit two pair. Sure, you want to get your stack in, but if you're putting in the bare minimum whenever possible, it seems like you're more concerned with being clever than making money.
I agree that pre-flop sizing is too small, but the big problem is the check on the flop. You got lucky that the OR c-bet this very dry flop so you could check-raise (although raise size was also too small). What if OR checks back on the flop? Now you're giving him and the SB a free turn card and you have a very small pot where you'll have a difficult time getting stacks in with your AA (assuming you still want to). I agree with Mr. Rick that you don't want to be against 2 players with AA if you can avoid it, and you certainly don't want to give two opponents a free turn card where they can hit 2 pair or eventually make a flush or straight on you. Make them pay for that turn card and build the pot now while you can, which will price villains in more when you jam the turn or river.
Raising to 2.3bb is way too small pre- villains shoud call almost all hands and try to bust your hand. Make it 3 or 3.5bb.
Itβs fine I guess bc we want calls but donβt want it to go against 2 villains that can pick up a lot of equity. Would rather play this hand heads up. As played seems fine. Villian went full punt lol.
