Was I right to fold here?

Was I right to fold here? Ironically, I bet small on the Flop, planning on 4 betting any 3 bet, but ended up not doing that cause I remembered a number of similar occasions where villain ended up having two pair (though there must have been occasions where they had just a draw or even top pair with weaker kicker).

After my fold villain showed me Ts, which really tilted me (I ended up misreading a hand later and shoving in a pretty stupid spot – yes, I should work on my mental game and not play tired).
Situation: Early in a tournament (satellite where 1 in 10 advances, but I don’t think that really makes a difference in this spot)
Any thoughts would be welcome.

These are the spots I struggle in as well -- when I have a strong hand that turns into a bluff catcher. I think they are the grossest spots in poker. When I'm live, I go with my gut based on the impression of the player's image I have. Online, it's nice if you have a HUD to help. I'm pretty the solver would call here. But I think the pop under bluffs versus the solver. So I don't know.

I would not 4 bet the flop here, as you want to keep his range wider with AQ.

Yeah, I can see now why I should have raised bigger pre flop, would possibly have saved me some trouble, if I had just made it 8 BB or so.
Villain had 750,000 in lifetime winnings (not earnings though), which are shown by default on GG, so I suppose he was well aware that pop does not bluff enough and used that fact to his advantage by bluffing me.
Well played, villain.

Gross spot. I don't think folding is terrible. You are still losing to his value that raised the flop and now losing to some of the semibluffs.

The only mistake you made was not raising more pre. I would go to 800 at least, or 900.
