AQ FT Bovada

Sorry do not have the HH accept for screenshot..

FT 6 handed $15 MTT on Bovada

12bb stack opens min, button big stack flats, we are 12bb in BB AQos.. is this an easy Jam for everyone even though opener is running normal stats and should not have many raise folds ? Any of you considering icm and flatting ever ?

I dont think that jamming is ever bad just curious to others thoughts and default play here... Thx

I'm mainly jamming in the spot you described. The exception would be if I had a reason to think either of your opponents' ranges were exceptionally tight.

In general though I think jamming is printing in this spot. While the UTG range should be mainly big hands with a few polarized raise-folds mixed in, I find that people hedge by min-raising instead of shoving hands they perceive as being slightly too weak to shove. As a result they tend to have too many raise-folds in these relatively big spots for the stakes.

Sorry you ran into the top of their range.

Also, I should mention that based on the screenshot I wasn't sure what the effective stack is between hero and the button. This is definitely relevant, as are the other stack sizes. It looks like you had around 20 BB or so and button covered? This and there were no exceptionally short stacks, but one other 12 BB stack? In this case I still like the jam. You do have to worry about button traps though. I wouldn't shove anything like 40 BB here even if it is possible that could be solver-approved.

on the one hand, with 12BB it probably can't be that bad a move.

on the other hand, UTG will have some top of range here, and even when that's not the case, button's range will include a fair number of pairs (along with I'd guess some suited Broadway hands, particularly like AJs/ATs/KQs). so you might get called a lot if you jam. and looking at the stack sizes in the field... two players are under 7BB and will have to get all in soon, so you may be better served playing it more cautiously. And that's not even considering that the UTG raiser could go broke against button here if you do that, too.
