Why are you only betting 15% pot on the flop with the nuts and an SPR of 15?

Why aren't you playing this to try to get all of your money in the middle?

I had this same thought. I know I've looked at much shorter stacked versions of this spot in a solver before, and when stacks are short the solver does bet small or check this exact hand to trap.

I would think at this stack depth you would want to bet big on the flop though? Setting aside what a solver would do, we unblock all of our opponent's sets, 2 pair, etc. and this is a board where people tend to be pretty inelastic with the ranges they continue with. I would probably bet at least 2/3 pot on the flop, looking to triple barrel and setting up a river shove.

As played on the flop you did get your opponent to raise, which was the best possible result. I probably reraise and try to get stacks in right away. I'm sure calling the raise is good in theory, but in practice it looks like your opponent likes their hand and you don't want to let them off the hook if scare cards hit. The downside is you do let bluffs off the hook, but I would think Jx open enders and Ax gutshots are some of the main bluffs and you're blocking those. I probably just try to get the money in and cooler a big hand. Also if they have like a pair plus open ender they probably get the money in on the flop, but might fold if the straight draw bricks.

As played on the river that is one of the worst possible cards. By this point it should be pretty clear that you have a strong hand and your opponent is still betting big. In theory I think you're supposed to call. You beat some possible value (J9s, but would the worst straight bet this big on this river?) so your hand seems stronger than a mere bluffcatcher.

In practice against some opponents who rarely bluff rivers I might consider hero folding. I don't know. It's possible your small flop size could have induced a wild bluff line, but this is a generally under bluffed spot.

What parts of his range flats pre, raises flop and leads turn & river?
AJ, KQ, K10, Q10, 9J for value, plus some bluff/semi bluffs?

We’re beating some of that but V needs to be either overvaluing his two pair, his ugly end straights or pure bluffing by the river to make calling attractive.

I never end up in this river spot because I don't get to this river spot. Straights have a ton of equity decay, making them great fastplay candidates. Plus, this guy is raising into your strong EP opening range from a blind. He has a hand. Bet flop bigger, if you're worried he'll fold to the flop 3 bet, go huge on the turn or raise if he donks.

yeah looking back was a bit of a braindead play at the time my rational was that it was multiway and that i wanted both to call to get more value on later streets although i should of wanted my chips in the middle asap
