I understand a standard play is a fold preflop. But I made a play because MP+1 is tight. The flop comes and I don't think that his range plays well given I block 10 9, and I don't see a lot of 8's and 7's in his range, so I C bet the flop. The turns comes and 8, so I don't believe he has a 7/8 for a full-house/quads, and I don't believe he has an overpair given he cold called pre. So I bluff, and I can't wrap my head around a call here.

Apparently not.

I think pre is too light.

I would never 3-bet squeeze with QTo OOP because it could be a huge pot OOP with that hand. Your sizing though is very good to take it down. I typically have AQ+/TT+ here and a lot of the time everyone folds to the 3-bet.

Given the call by only 1 player post flop if I were going to bluff all in on the turn I would cbet less on the flop. Most of the time my cbet on a flop like this which doesn't hit our range is the size of my pre flop raise or a little bit smaller. Which is less than half pot. Then on the turn the all in bet size would be about 75% pot which is not very polarizing. The problem with cbetting 14 bb's on the flop is that it is roughly 30% effective stack so if called it would be like Villain is committed to calling an all in on the turn.

I think Villain called on the flop to see if you checked the turn (because he looks pot committed) where he would then jam. It looks a lot like he could have a PP when he calls the flop bet especially because you call him tight. As played, on the turn Villain is almost getting the right price to call if you have Ax without a T or J. Not that this is a decent assumption, because you could also have 99+...

So this was a cooler because your value bluff lost to a 7 outer (with 2 outs for a chop). A bit more than 70% of the time you take it down (and you chop about 11%). Having gone through this situation at least 4 times where my turn all in is called and I have a 70%+ chance to win but I lose, it is definitely tough. But there also are situations where the opponent will fold (at least one of those happened for me) and recently a case where I took it down when called and basically doubled up.

dont 3bet pre bet smaller flop or just don't bet at all (draws are clearly not getting folded out) to set up a worse price for a turn shove

Im ok with the squeeze - flop bet I'd go a little smaller. OTT once he calls the flop I'm probably check/giving up - he has a lot of overpairs that won't fold, maybe the rare AK I guess.

What is tight? Be more precise.

What extra stuff might you need him to fold in order to squeeze profitably?

You sure the answer is "nothing"?

You sure this isn't highly exploitative?

Get BOTH of them off 99, AQo pre? Then it's likely a delicious squeeze

Never get them off..."much"(whatever that means)? Then it's definitely an atrocious squeeze.
