swings/variance

$3 - $16.50 MTTs

* what is your largest upswing (over 250 or more played) ?
* what is your largest downswing " "
* what do you consider normal ups & downs for low buy-in online MTTs ?
* what do you consider as running bad ?

example:
SamuraiPlaya: on PokerStars (where most of my volume in MTTs are played)
after 350 played = 54% ROI (2 months)
after 700 played = 130% ROI (5 months)
after 1,350 played = 71% ROI (7 months)

currently on my longest downswing of approx 150 buy-ins $ $7 ave buy-in over 6 weeks/500 games.

I realize this is perfectly normal, but even I get very frustrated losing day after day for 6 weeks straight. Do any other hi-volume MTT'ers feel the same ?

Also, do any of you feel that variance is the same/worse/ or better at the higher levels where there are not such huge "landmine" fields ? The reason I ask is because I am going to be moving up in ave buy-in soon, are the large fields in the $22's, $27.50's, $33's, and $55's similar type fields with very high variance due to 1k + fields ?
