Effective Study Methods

I play on Bovada so there's no way I can filter certain actions through HEM or PT like checking how well I'm doing in reraised pots. However, I can download the hand history and see everyone's hole cards as most of you probably already know (of course the players are still anonymous). Any suggestions on how I can study effectively and efficiently?

I go through a few tournaments and see a whole lot of ridiculous random play but I just don't know exactly how I can formulate a strategy to maximize. For example, I'm still not exactly sure how to react to a min. reraise (any blind level). Going through the hand history, I'll see villains min. reraise with hands like ATo, 88, or T7o and of course some players will do it only with AA or KK. The thing is, I know I'll have selective memory and remember those oddball hands more often, so I need an objective way to track all this.

In addition seeing min reraises, I also want to know what a big preflop reraise means, a flop min raise or Check min raise means against the PFR, and several other lines. The problem is, it's a real pain in the ass to figure out how to keep track of all this and obviously eats up a whole lot of time.

I'm wondering if any of you have suggestions or have a simple excel chart to get a good sense of what these plays mean while still remaining completely objective. Thank you.

Oh, and is there a way to convert these hand histories for free so I can post it on 2+2? I think I saw one on 2+2 but that cost money right?

best way to study is to play and spew it off enough til you pick up when not to. preflop is the easy part, post flop you really need to learn by playing. find a style you think works and get good at it

wow, advice on this thread didn't age well at all lol
